has anybody failed their inspection because of a TB exhaust? i'm thinking of getting a tb exhaust with a hi flow cat and wanted to know if i'm going to have trouble with inspection.

i am also going that route. w/the hfc im pretty sure you pass emissions.. i hope, after all it would defeat the purpose of having a hfc lol?

 

I passed my emissions test with my crappy Buschur 3" turbo-back, including the "high-flow" cat (really a ceramic-core P.O.S. by Catco...not high-flow at all). Like every Buschur TBE I've ever seen, mine was leaking from a few different places...I guess there's a reason why no other vendors use generic band-clamps to hold their exhausts together.

Anyway, even with the crappiest exhaust on the market, a couple of leaks, and the cheapest P.O.S. ceramic cat I've ever seen in my life, my car passed emissions without a hitch. Just to be safe, I drove the car REALLY hard for a while just before the test, so the cat was nice and hot for maximum efficiency.

what year is your evo? the first 2-3 years it's just a safety inspection...although they might give you a hard time based on loudness.
