i think im feeling a sick day coming on tomorrow...

 

Oh ya...so something very wierd happened with the Evo the other night...on the way to the DJ appointment, driving down Rt 20 in Auburn, all the sudden there was a sound that seemed to come from the top of the car (weird in itself) and basically sounded like a newspaper blowing in the wind. I got out to check, and did not see anything...(checked the tires, engine bay, under the car...)

So I start the car back up (note that the car itself sounded 100% normal, and was driving 100% normal), start going again, get into a little boost while accelerating (maybe 10PSI or so, and the check engine light starts flashing (have it set to flash 3 counts of knock or me, and flash faster with 6 or me, which it was doing IIRC). Immediately pulled over (did not hear any strange noises this time) and opened up the hood and checked all fluids and everything...plenty of oil, coolant (and oil pressure and coolant temps were normal) and everything else seemed fine. WBO2 did not show anything out of the ordinary (fuel pressure was normal as well), and the car felt fine besides the flashing light in my eyes.

I hope it was just some 'phantom' knock and not something serious. I am going to take it out tonight and do some logging. The car drove fine on the way home, although I did not get into boost at all...

 

Very weird marshall, check all the IC piping connections?

 

Not yet, but I will as soon as I get home. I definitely did not blow one off, but it doesn't mean I do not have a leak anywhere.

Next weekend i am leaving for Me-h-ico.

 

I might be Sunday afternoon. Weather pending. If it is really nice out, I will be taking Samantha up north to the lake for the day. We had really ****ty weather all last week, and I couldn't plan anything because of it. Saturday, I am working till 4pm. And then we are supposed to go to watch an all girls roller derby that night.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, I should be able to come by Sunday to get those from you.

Come up to the track!! I am going up Friday night it looks like for street night, camping nearby, and spending Saturday at the Import Event. Should be a good time! Vegas should be racing Saturday as well...
