Dex- did you receive your brake rotors in yet? How is the quality of them? After reading up on them, they seem to be OE replica's for the most part, but they offer them vented / drilled. Just wondering as I need to order some new rotors and pads very soon.

Patches ran 10.7 @ 134!!
bad news, on my solo bye run in the semi finals (cruising down the track at 90mph in 4th gear) my balance shaft decided it wanted free of my motor and came out the front of the block.
I will be parting out the car in the next few weeks and there is a new project already underway
If you guys are interested in any parts from my car, let me know asap as there will be a part out thread on here tonight.

They're decent. they are OE replicas (Centric rotors i believe) that are later machined, painted and coated. They're the best you can get as far as 'cheap' rotors - and are close in weight to the stock rotors. My new rotorpros weighed slightly more then my stock ones (which were well worn/grooved and had 50K on them).

I'm running slotted - and they're completely silent with the magic pads.

They ship USPS from CA - not sure if it took 3 days or 5 to get to me. for $260 shipped i can't complain. If i was money bags though - i would completely spring for a more expensive 2 piece setup - to get rid of some rotational mass.

Vegas---I'm sorry to hear that Patches is out of commission... very sad news. But at least she went out with some style...congrats on the 10.7 @ 134!!!!

 

Damn Vegas, that sucks man, sorry to hear the news...hopefully patches setup will be forgotten, but she wont be gone...let us know on the future project.

Dex I'm glad to hear that news..I'm still weighing out some options, and after speaking with Jay at Synaptic this weekend...2 pieces are looking better and better if I'm going to go the way of tracking my car in the future..I'll have to see how you like them after break in period..

 

I would love to opt for 2-piece, but don;t think that will really benefit me. As I drive >5 miles each day, and have zero time right now for track days. I will order these in the next few weeks.

 

i'm still not sold on my budget setup yet - i'll let you know as i'm breaking everything in. I am not completely sold on the magic pads yet, but they are definitely quiet.

atleast she backed up her 10 second pass with an even better run
