good stuff
sorry to hear about your car. I too am in the quest for a shortblock.
There is a difference in the 9 block, it has an oil feed line to the head for the Mivec. Supposedly you can fix that pretty easily though.
Ajay, keep us updated. I am interested in hearing what they say.
On that note, Turco/others, are there any differences in the Evo 8 & 9 shortblocks? I know the head is different due to MIVEC goodness, and they use a different timing belt, but not sure of any other differences. Someone is selling an 8 shortblock (all internals, but no front case or accessories) for pretty cheap. Ajay may need something like this...

I think he was questioning because he wanted to see if the 8 shortblock would fit in the IX with the IX head. I wouldn't recommend it personally, i would just shell out the money for a IX short block.
ah, missed that he has a 9. That sux. I can use a 8 or 9 block. he can only use a 9 block.
sure man.
it looks like our plans for the weekend of the 27th fell through, but of course we had backup plans! yay! anyway...Kate will be going out with her friends for that Saturday/Saturday night, so maybe we can do a little work on your car then/go take some sweet pics...

you'll probably want a cup for the UEGO... IIRC, the gauge is not all that big but has two heavy wire sets coming out of it... for one thing, it will be a challenge to have it sit right in a band clamp... also, i think it will look like monkey *** if the sides/back of the UEGO are exposed.
I recommend the Autometer gauge cup... it's like $20, shipped. I think Autozone even stocks them now.

NSXERZ- It is made by TRUST, GReddy's parent company
7th item down on teh list http://greddy.com/products/display/?...SubCategory=60
EDIT- Besides, it was only $10. Not much of a loss if you take it out and not use it anymore.
