Paul, like marshall said the only difference was you get more features for the price of the samsung. If they look just as good then get whichever is cheaper. I thought the sony's looked great but i found the samsung to have more for the buck and still looked a bit better - the also get better reviews from the little i have read.

Thanks once again. I was thinking about trying that but I wasn't sure if it would work. Hopefully ajay reads your post and picks that up from radio shack or wherever they can be found.

samsung and panasonic almost always come out on top from most every panel comparison i've seen.

if you want to really spend bank, there are the pioneer elites, but they are in a completely different price range.

Very nice!
Two years ago I bought a sony bravia Rear Projection... Makes me wish I shelled out the money for an LCD, however I scored the rear projection for manufacturer cost from a friend's shop. Sony makes some great TV's, I still have 3 sony tube TV's that are from over 14 years ago and they still work fine. They're just heavier than my car is. I think however, I will be going with a samsung for my next TV only because I find the lower end models (cheaper 32inch) for Sony's aren't as good as the lower end model samsungs. Just personal preference at that point though.

i gotta say, im still a samsung guy for tvs. they are just amazing. well priced and amazing picture. the deal on this sony was just too good to pass up though. it was cheaper and bigger than the samsung i was planning to get and it was pretty hard to see the difference between the two. i stared at tvs for a solid hour plus last night and forced my buddy to do the same lol.
