Let me guess, you get lots of email like this:
how much is the lowest price you ask for this vehicle? I do not know if you know that the price listed for this vehicles on Kelly Blue Book is based on the engine condition mostly. This vehicles are barely found now a days since they are consider very old vehicles. If you go to a junk yard auto parts to find one, they tell you that these cars most of the times go straight to the trash machine because they are too old and nobody bothers to look for them. The parts? SUPER EXPENSIVE! Only the transmission switch is $385.00 dollars, can you imagine? When these cars are over 120k is when the engine starts leaking oil and sometimes very bad. For me, I had a 1992 and I paid $800 for it thinking I could fix it but with this economy, I could never get it registered and I do not think I would be able to fix it since the cost of maintenance is way too high and I can show you prove of that, but I am quite sure you know what I am talking about. The owner before me spend over $3000 together in a period of time of 2 years and they were never able to get it inspected and still missing things to be replaced. The leak of oil is what makes the catalytic to failure since the emissions cannot be filtered properly due to the presence of oil in it. To fix this vehicle would cost around $1500 minimum ($80hr labor +/-), depending on what has to be done in order to get it inspected, since not everybody knows how to do mechanics on this foreign vehicles, unless you know someone that can fix it for cheap. These mufflers are super expensive also and the catalytic, each of them are over $80 dollars (Universal) minimum. In addition you have to think about all the paper work related to it that has to be done. A car can always be in good running condition but that does not means the car can be inspected, right? I can give you $400 for it "as is" after taking a look at it to see if I can fix it. I think you have nothing to lose since you are getting rid of it so let me know please what you think of my offer. What you say?

No- I just get idiots that 'want' the car, waste my time and then back out at the last minute. The last idiot that was coming sat morning called me at 8:00 to tell me he didn't want a car that needed a paint job. This was after I could have had it sold on Friday night.
Look for CRX on craigslist and you can see the note I put on the bottom of the ad about the fact I am not a used car salesman and to not waste my time.....

who is Jojo? haha
Side note:
got 13 mpg going to Attitash this weekend with a full car, ski rack and trunk packed full of liquor... 18mpg on the way back. Ski rack really kills it even just driving around now.
Snowboarding - All ice there... I've been boarding for well over 5 years and it felt like a bigger version of No-snoba (nashoba valley).
Needless to say the night festivities included a no pants party of a group of 40 college kids. Only 10 were guys.

Heading to Driven Perfection friday for a winter detail and vac.

EVO CALENDARS:
As has become tradition, I'm putting the finishing touches on a local Evo calendar for 2010 (March - Feb 2011). I make no money off of these, so I don't think it's vending.
In any case, let me know if you'd be interested. I am at an all-time low for number of quality pictures, I typically start with 80-100 pics and whittle it down to about 30-40 that make it in the VERY HUGE calendar. To that end, I will be taking picture submissions if you have them.
Currently, the cars featured in the draft 2010 calendar are mine, Turco's, PaulR, Dex, Kenny, Greg(evo) and Greg(camaro). the large majority of evo pics are racing shots, not to many glamour snaps...
Anyway, express your interest, send me pictures, let's make a nice calendar.
For those of you not familiar, each page is 13" x10" and printed in astonishing photo quality on very heavy cardstock... the calendars are wire-bound.
Here's last year's calendar: ftp://daveandkate.net/MEOW09Cal.pdf
Maybe this year I'll even get Marshall's birthday right.... lol sorry dood!
