Shop Review: CBRD Speedfactory
Shop Review: CBRD Speedfactory
Make a long story short, my evo IX blew up in PA, while visiting cousins (they like 20 minutes south of York)
Thread of the damage can be seen here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=299403
It was almost fortunate that the car blew in PA rather than NY, where I live, because then my car wouldnt have been worked on at CBRD.
First off, a visit to the shop is warranted even if you arent getting any work done. The amazing machines at the shop (it is also an exotic car dealership) from 911 gt3's to M3's, Lotuses, evos and subies. The shop car evo was amazing as well. The shop itself really needs to be seen to be believed. From leather sofas, to a game room with flat screen tv's, racing seats and steering wheels that let you play gran turismo. The shop even has a lounge with a stocked fridge, magazines and books galore.
I am truly sorry i didnt have a camera on me, because the work area was also amazing. Its true what they say, you really can eat off the floor of the place. CBRD has a mustang dyno where Chad does the tuning, a hunter wheel machine, and tools that look like they are polished every night.
Chad got me a great price on a crate motor, kept me updated on the progress, and even put up with my neurotic phone calls all the time asking him questions. The car feels amazing, and I couldnt feel happier.
Bottom line, if you are in the southeast PA/Baltimore MD area, you simply NEED to visit this shop...hell its even worth a far longer drive. Thanks again to Chad and his crew at CBRD

cool, thats the same route I was going until Chad mentioned the crate motor route
I was going to use the head on my motor (after a JAM cylinder head refresh) then go for a JAM built bottom end...
the crate motor made more sense for me in alot of ways so I went for that
