I don't buy thing's unless I can install them myself...

Are syncro's hard? or should I just have it professionally done...

a clutch install is a two person job and will usually take 10-15 hours depending how fast you work and experience. A friend an I did his, took about 12 hours and we'll probably never do it again, too much work lol...

I have a Shep built tranny and am very pleased with it, its been thru hell and back and is still in good shape. Hes very reasonably priced too...

Cheers!

Shep will replace whats needed. I believe he charge $900 for the labor, then its your choice from there as far as what you'd liek to replace. If everything except the syncros are 110% you can get those replaced and everything coated for a little extra strength and durability.

Cheers!

Synchros are not a job for you. Neither is the clutch. Take it to a professional.

What If I just wanted to replace my throwout bearing? is that a hell of a job too?

I know for a fact mines worn out. It is kinda loud and the sound goes away when I put my foot on the clutch. Unless this happens to everyone which I think would be pretty crappy of mitsubishi because it sounds completly horrible.

I'm being **** because the track is coming up quick and I'm hittin e-town this weekend alllllll the way from Ayer MA. I don't want to drive 4 hours to get there and break something cause thats a looonngggggg tow back!

I hope you decided to put off the track this weekend and take the car to a shop and have them do the work. These are things that are better left up to the pros. To get the clutch done it will cost about 800.00 plus the cost of the clutch, the trans should be covered under your factory war. That is the best advice I can give you. Good luck
