I would buy a used S2000 or a G35 Coupe and pray for no snow. You can find a decent car for under $20K but you will take a hit in the performance department.

on the topic of cars, my buddy and I r trying to sell an 88 mustang 110,000 miles lx 4 cyl auto with white leather and white convertible top for basically free just need more room if anyone wants it to cruise in or drop a big block in it. pretty much any decent offer will be taken haha, i want new wheels.

Quote: Could use some input here.

I have my car listed for the second time now: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...-3-50trim.html

Back story. Tried selling with a bunch of extras (wingless trunk, winter tires and Greddy Ti) and had it listed for $20k. Best offers I got was $18k and I turned them down. After that I removed the Greddy Ti, sold the winter tires and will be selling the wingless trunk. The max offer I've received now is $17.5k which is only $500 off my asking price but I'm having a hard time saying yes for a few reasons.

1.Blue book on the car is $18,700. whether or not blue book means any thing or not is up to you.

2. I've been spending the last two days looking for a "new" car and everything in the $16k-20k range is a big step down from what I have now. Looking at some '04 R32's but they're all in the $20k-$22k range which seems crazy to me. So basically no matter what I buy I'll be getting less of a car for a higher price than I'm selling mine for and that's a little tough to swallow. The other car I'm considering is another VW but it's a 20th AE for $16k. Then I though about getting a Civic Si and driving that for a while but those prices are high as well.

So what do you guys think? Should I just take the $17.5k and move on or what?
you answered alot of my questions that i was going to pm about your car. i'm actually looking at your car to buy. there is three in my area,nj,ny,pa and de.
there are many cars around the 16k to 18k range. some cars are stock and some have more mods, ie susp and wheel, built trans and t/c or more hp. its hard to pick which one to buy. a few years ago, i bought a 98 gsx, built engine. really nice but i have an electrial issues that i never figured out. no body wants to be screwed. my friend bought an 04 evo 6 months ago and found out after 3,000 miles that the t/c whines and 2nd gear grinds. this is the kind of things that i'm afraid of. i dont have them money to fix it. i'm not looking to buy until August. so i'm in no rush but i do like your car. i'll pm you with a few other questions that i have.

Anyone have endlinks they wanna sell? Tried removing the stock bar earlier and one side didn't budge, so its time for new endlinks.

chu let me know how you like that robi bar i got my eyes set on one in the near future. you think its possible to use stock endlinks or just go with beefier ones from the begining.

Stock endlinks are fine, but you will have problems taking the bolt that connects the link to the sway bar off. I'm only getting new ones because the right one wouldn't budge. I should have stock to my principals and waited for my endlinks, but I wanted to see if the bolts would turn. Now, one side is slightly loose and clunking. its staying in the garage the rest of the week, lol.

Does this mean the E30 is out pounding the streets?

Hahah, no. THe E30 interior is gutted, so no way to drive it around. I'm in the office this week, so Chau been driving me to work in the morning. I really have no need to drive around. However, the evo will be back to normal on Friday when the new endlinks come in. I'm gonna start producing these things myself! DIY endlinks are easy!

Quote: Chu, I'm trying to make it but I need tires on the EVO. Mine are heat cycled to death and the one has a pesky leak from one of the two plugs already in it.

The vette I just AX'ed on Sunday, its fun but not the same as the EVO. BEsides, I need to run in BSP in order to keep in the running for points... the vette is an SSM car.
Marc,
I'm not completely positive of my attendance on this Sunday. I haven't registered yet because I know I'm going to be in AC Friday and Saturday. However if you don't get the car plugged up you are welcome to co-drive mine assuming I am present. I'll let you know by the end of today via pm or here wether or not I'm going. Let me know if you'd be interested at all and I'll see if I can push my plans around to make Sunday work out.

Thanks for the offer Doug. I think the AX is on Saturday, not Sunday, which sounds like it might not work with your schedule but I do appreicate the offer.

RIght now I have tires on order thru my boy Nick @ Oakes Detailing. They should be arriving in the next day or two. I've got a place lined up to mount and shave them for me with only a couple hours notice, so it looks like if the stars align I might be able to make it this weekend.
