yeah who wants to go this weekend? i can't motivate any of my friends because they're either super lame or don't care for cars which also makes them lame.

it's the lucas oil nationals.

I can go if it's on Sunday. I don't think the Evo will be done yet, but it might be fun to watch people with a lot of money do things I can't.

Imagine a suspect just got a jump on you and the only way to stop him quickly is to launch into the back of his vehicle before he pulls away. In all seriousness I've seen worse. A family member has a 996 911 that he can't get to do any better than a 14.4 at like 110 last I heard. Find a deserted parking lot and practice launching. I did that at work a few dozen times at my office after hours before I took my evo to the track for the first time. I managed to pull a 12.3 at 113 the first and only time I ever ran it. It's been 3 years so I'm out of practice myself.

Good point on the clutch. Pulling these trannies is a massive b!tch. I can yank the engine and trans as a whole in 3 hours but doing a clutch took me almost 10 hours. Most of it was wrestling the trans back in. I got to get back to the track at the end of the summer with the new turbo but I'm worried I'll get booted for not having a cage. One more thing I have to spend money on (and the wife hates when I do that). Does anyone need parts powdercoated? I need to start a second career.

It didn't seem like the launch was that bad. I know those nice big 18's aren't helping you at all. I know I'm stating the obvious but I'd bet you'll see a difference with the stockers. Is your 2-step still on the stock setting or has it been bumped up? This would make a big difference as well.

colonel^^ well just explain to ur wife that safety comes first and you wouldnt want anything to hurt you...my bet is she wont buy it, most women dont. you should be able to pull some good clean runs, but your clutch will go pretty fast.

what kind of clutch do you have in the car now? have you launched your car before.

also your going to start PC things now? what have you done in the past and with what type of materials? I may be interested in gettin some things done as well as some of my buddies if the pricing is good and work is excellent. rather keep the business local if i can! support that philly economy...

You bogged the launch.. Try to stay on the stationary rev limit an extra second or two next time, other then that it was good!
