i duno i think your the expert! i am just going thru the motions. they said that bc it hurt to bad to cough that all the secretions just "infiltrate" my left lung. watever the heck that means. i really have no idea how tonsil surgery leads to pneumonia.

does using the pain meds a lot cause stuff like this to happen? if so how come? havnt felt this crappy in a while, only time i get any relief is on pain meds which is rare bc ive taken so many with ongoing ankle problems that most of them dont work.

lortab 7.5/500 doesnt work. percocet 5/325 liquid form does help a little but makes me ictchy. if i take it in pill form it doesnt work and none of the others seem to help.

you should send that chest xray over! haha. i had no idea what i was looking at it just looked like i had a fog in my chest...wierd...

they mean that all the drainage plus some of your saliva was not swallowed or spit out but went down your trachea and in your left main bronchus to your lung which later got infected (which is what pneumonia is). what they saw on your xray is a left lung infiltrate, which in your case was infectious (sometime accompanied by high white blood cell count and fever). fun times, buddy!

we all aspirate our secretions but usually we don't have blood and wound discharge in our saliva. that's why we don't get lung infections.

the reason i asked about pain meds was to find out if you drugged yourself so hard that you were just laying around super high and not managing your secretions.

this stuff happens and isn't something to worry about unless you're 98 years old. what antibiotic did they put you on? it would be ironic if an ENT put you on vancomycin.

get out and jog or walk around in the fresh air and get all that **** moving and out. you'll be fine in like 3 days.

btw i don't know your last name so i cant find your chest xray.

yea wow i actually understood that thanks for the info! not fun at all. i know that i was having thick mucus secretions and gunk in my throat but couldnt hack it out bc it hurt so bad.

they put my on a whole myriad of medications. Roxicet for the pain, lortab for more pain (sucks doesnt work), celebrex, gabapentin, avelox for the infection, and i think sometin called cefuroxime, but not sure what that does.

i did hit the pain killers regularly because as i said, after ankle surgery and constant pain most painkillers dont do anything for me. i was once able to take an absurd amount of percs with no reaction, and now if im lucky they will make me tired and apparently itchy.

not sure how i should go about the recovery time and what meds to take for the pain, but nothing seems to work that well. def not well enough to get a "high". kinda a bummer. i will def take some time to get some air and walk around. im getting smaller by the day not being able to lift, so annoying but oh well health is important.

dont do anything that could get you in trouble at your job! I still dont know how your able to post on the forums so quickly haha. my last name is Strang btw if your there and are bored and wana take a glance, but dont get yourself in trouble, i know how auditing goes, not fun.

you must have not gotten your xray at jefferson. you weren't coming up. i wouldn't really get in trouble unless you complained about me looking at your information.

i took lunch at 1130 today and i am not at all busy at work so that is how i posted so quickly. really boring if you ask me. my wife just texted me saying she hasn't seen a patient since 8am today....we're both milk men....well she's a milk maiden.

Based on that timeslip you are driving pretty well and making exactly what you are supposed to make for MPH. Very hot day too.

you can call me any time, chu. if it is for medical advice, i am not a doctor; i just play one on tv.

i am home doing nothing now. i left work after lunch today to go to fred bean's in doylestown which is on the other side of the planet from my house and work (i drove a total of 180 miles today). they couldn't reproduce the noise so they said come back if it starts again. it is only when it is cold and moist out. some moisture must get in there and make it squeak. I am going to have to hit one of you guys up to hear it. i am not driving all the way back there. and dambrosio isn't worth any of my time.

btw if the pain meds are making you itch you're probably having an allergic reaction. i'd let your doctor know. unless it is a nervous itch like a crackhead has.

but like you said, maybe its a crackhead itch. like dave chapelle, i got white stuff all around my lips and i cant stop scratching my neeeeeck! should be careful about that...

chu, you cant get any pain killers from him, pretty sure thats illegal, stop being such a druggie! damn jus bc it increases your adrenaline doesnt make u a better drive son!

Thanks for comment Sean. I've been going over other slips and the E.T. Definately seems quick for my trap.
