marc, the place i just moved from in east norriton was a 55+ community. the owners couldn't sell it so they settled to rent it to a young couple. the place was big and nice and cheap. the neighbors hated us though.

My friend just put an ad in the local paper to rent his 3 bedroom town home for $1500 a month and it was filled in two days. More applicants then he could shake a stick at.
$1k a month is pretty good, IMO.

back when I was a teenager I was paying $440 a month for a single bedroom apt in Hatfield (the next town over), but that place was a dump!
Every morning I'd wake up to a HUGE fricken bug in the bathroom.

thats funny dan.

My company just finished building a retirement community here in Blue Bell. I never knew this but you can't have all 55+ residence, that would be considered age descrimination. The max the township would allow is 85% @ 55+, the rest had to be under 55... go figure.

Who, in their right mind, would live in a community with mostly older folks?

Hersey Mill is like a giant old people party. I did work in there and people drove around on golf carts drinking and golfing all day.

I was in the grocery store on Boot rd that connects to the complex and some 80yr old dude wolf whistled at this chick and when she turned around he pointed right at me. He was a crazy mother****er. I would party with him

that's what is was for us. i practically put an old dude on his *** when he got in my face for saying hi to his wife. and another one for taking ish to my wife. my neighbors had a 23 year old son that drove a decatted ms3. they really loved him.

they worked really hard to make you feel unwelcomed....not all of them though. and they would freak out if someone had their kids and grandkids over. i think old people want to live in a place so they can have their corner of the earth where the can be crotchety about everything.
