$1k a month is pretty good, IMO.
back when I was a teenager I was paying $440 a month for a single bedroom apt in Hatfield (the next town over), but that place was a dump!
Every morning I'd wake up to a HUGE fricken bug in the bathroom.

My company just finished building a retirement community here in Blue Bell. I never knew this but you can't have all 55+ residence, that would be considered age descrimination.
The max the township would allow is 85% @ 55+, the rest had to be under 55... go figure.

Hersey Mill is like a giant old people party. I did work in there and people drove around on golf carts drinking and golfing all day.
I was in the grocery store on Boot rd that connects to the complex and some 80yr old dude wolf whistled at this chick and when she turned around he pointed right at me. He was a crazy mother****er. I would party with him

The max the township would allow is 85% @ 55+, the rest had to be under 55... go figure.they worked really hard to make you feel unwelcomed....not all of them though. and they would freak out if someone had their kids and grandkids over. i think old people want to live in a place so they can have their corner of the earth where the can be crotchety about everything.
