Philadelphia Car Meets
Not gonna happen buddy...
Any of you guys have any thoughts on a good hi-flow cat? I looked at the new MIL-Spec one but its not going to be ready for a few weeks. Not that I can't wait... just think I'm going to ditch the testpipe and go with some a little more eco-friendly.
Jeff your COBB seems to do a decent job, IDk if it will work woth my exhaust though.

Is this the Mack truck lot on Rt100 (right off of RT78) or is there another one in Allentown? I might be down for it either way.
Pete I like my HFC. Your more than welome to take a look at it or try it out.
who says the quote "horspower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you push the wall, understeer is when you hit the wall with the front, and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car"

Pete, you can always try to work waive, or the novice tent in the morning. They expect alot of novice drivers that day. If you work early, the rest of teh day is yours. I won't go if you guys dont, so let me know. I dont think pre-reg is available for this event.
Jeff, I heard that before, just not sure who came up with it.

Alright guys forgive my ignorance but this will be the first evo wheel change for me. So what's the deal with opened vs closed lugs? I'm assuming enkeis don't come with new lugs and that stock ones will not work? So can anyone recomend me a good solid set of lugs with locks preferably and where to get the (reasonable).
The only ones I know off the top of my head are muteki and rays and those neochrome guys. Muteki is reasonale price they any good? Sry for the dumb question just used to swapping wheels on audis.
If we can figure this autoX out and how to not have to be there all day count me in. Much better than jersey shore

Ryan, you cannot use the stock lugnuts on aftermarket wheels. The aftermarkets use a conical lug seat, not the tapered style like OEM (or is it the other way around). Anyways, look at the lug hole on the rim and you will see. I had Rays when I had my wheels, but the Mutekis will be fine too, and cheaper. The McGards they sell at pepboys and such aren't too bad either. Just make sure you torque the nuts and you're golden! Most aluminum nuts take no more than 80lbs, so make sure you check their specs.
chu good looks. didnt know that. figured they couldnt be swapped but thanks for the details! yea rays a sweet, but there almost as much as a wheel! haha. muteki might be the way to go then. i will need to check on the torque specs bc i usually torque the stockers to either 85 or 100 ft lbs and i do not want to crack a new lug.
anyone know the best place to get them on here? chu, im sending you a pm if you dont mind i got one other question.
anyone heading to atco tomorrow night?

Oh really? I used to work at the Mack/Volvo Test center (before they closed it down) which is only a few minutes away. They have/had a 1/4 oval that went around the building which they used to test prototype trucks on. Never did get a chance to race my car around it....
I'd be over to the HQ facility a couple times a week for various meetings/duties/lunch with the big wigs.
Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it up there this weekend though.

Pete, the novice tent is so easy. you have people who are not member to sign the weekend membership form, answer any questions they may have, and that's it. You have to be an SCCA member to do it though, because the form requires your signature, and member number. Waiver is also an easy task, have people sign the form and give them the band as they arrive at the gate. Choose a morning shift, and you'll be done early.
BTW, I checked with the person overseeing the work stuff, and asked for you and I to either do novice tent or waiver before heat 1. I'll let you know what happens.
