Philadelphia Car Meets
NICE pickup! Glad you made the smart choice, can't wait for you to get the car back on the road.
my wife feels that house modding is for us and car modding is for me. how can i twist this around to my benefit? i tried handing her the keys yesterday saying "don't launch it too hard."
I knew you were going for it. Did you order your Blox lower mount yet. I'm gonna order one too!
if you can get motoviated to w/o alone thats cool... i wish I could. I've never found anyone at TB to be a dick or anything, actually quite the opposit, most people I've talked too were pretty cool.
I thought that there were a lot of lifters here. At the last meet I went to I felt small. I have massive men in my family but no matter how much I lift or what I eat I cant gain mass easily. My best bench to date is 340 on a smith machine and I curl 165 but some medical stuff has slowed me down a bit the last few months. Ive been at it seriously for 2 years and off and on since high school. When I started pushing myself my friend and I struggled to do 150 once. Its really jard to stay motivated let alone start in the frst place.
I enjoy working out. Like you Josh, its very hard for me to put on any kind of mass. My body just isn't made that way. I've been working out for the better part of 4yrs and I've only gained about 25lbs. I'm still scrawny... I don't really push myslf though, just try to maintain now, I like the size I'm at.
Chu, the Blox Mount is sitting on my dining room table. I've had it since before the Showdown. I was gonna install it before race day but wasn't sure how to.
Colonelfox, that's some heavy weight man. 300 felt like a freight train coming down on my chest. Arms are my weakest. I struggle with getting 40lb dumb bells for 10.
Marc, I never really gave anyone much of a chance there to talk to. I would try get in and out of their as fast as possible. As for being motivated, well I have a guy I work with here that's pushing 275lbs for 10. He's a big boy and always slaps me around when I'm being lazy. This week he let me go since I've been having shoulder pain. I just woke up the other morning and my should was killing me. I haven't been sleeping well and I think I'm laying on my shoulder wrong.

I worked out with 4 guys who were taking it on a regular basis. I did a lot of research on it and the more I educate myself, the more scared I get. I'm not against steroids at all. Have you guys seen the movie Bigger, Stronger, Faster? I think it's a great documentary of the subject. I say if you're going to use them then use them in moderation and educate yourself on the side effects. There are many things to take into consideration when doing this stuff. I get a kick out of guys who trash steroid users and say they are cheating. I beg to differ. I think the juicers.....well atleast the serious ones are way more disciplined than the average lifter. To them it's a lifestyle and one that is taken very seriuosly. Ok I'm off my rant...haha
The Cystic Fibrosis 8th annual car show is coming up soon. You guys better be coming! Good reason to meet up...and a great cause!

Bigger, Stronger, Faster was a great documentary. I mostly liked it because the guy who made it was not just another person making a documentary, but rather a bodybuilder himself. I t was very good at showing both sides of the story. I dont take anything myself, but a lot of the guys at my gym have taken Halladro and Superdro with great results. Like gym said, its all about discipline. Supplements won't make you big unless you work hard at the same time.
