Also I am going to set up a dyno day and meet, so any suggestions are welcome.. We just finished a 1/4 mile competition on the dyno good times!! I won with a 17.61 in a 97 corolla!

The vibrations are a result of the crank TV (torsional vibrations) and also the motion encountered from the counterweights. It's nothing new every inline four carries similar vibrational characteristics, generally speaking. Major things a powertrain design engineer look at are mount tip vibrations and crank tv, accounted for by a tuned torsional damper and balance shafts. An inline four crankshaft typically carries a 60% balance ratio and creates incredibly large inertial vertical forces on main bearing 3, especially at higher rpms. All this transmits through the engine mounts and into the chassis, so it's really a matter of comfort for those in the car. That's why you go for a light, stiff and balanced crank, all contradictory to each other so it's about optimization in final design.

True that on the top mounts, my bad pete. Just making life easier for you.

That would be awesome. I've been waiting for a localish place to have one. I'm curious what it will be making once it's finished.

I caught the humor but I am not laughing, especially since the chance of me doing all over again are probably higher then I would like to think

I'm all about it man! I can't wait to show you guys pictures from around the shop and some of the cars that come through, shop cars, ect.. I just hope everyone knows this dyno reads super low. And by super low I think it may very well be the lowest reading dyno anyone has ever posted results from on this forum, or at least right with them. There have been evo 8's make less then 200whp here lol and I cant for the life of me break 400 on a stock turbo even at 35psi, and I still have a good 20hp to go. Our Mustang dyno is fully equipped and I just did the routine calibration today. We have the map sensor for logging boost, always use fresh 02 sensors IN THE DOWNPIPE (not the tailpipe, and I am very particular about this), weather station for corrected numbers so you can compare with more accuracy against previous runs when the conditions are different, huge Mustang Dyno cooling fan (no home depot bs), and everything else you would come to expect from a mustang dyno.
I hope I am not coming off like a salesman, and I think anyone that knows me will know I am anything but that, but I am just excited to finally be able to show everyone the kind of stuff that goes on here and what I have been up to lately. So when I pick a date for meet and dyno day I just hope as many people show as possible, weather you are afilliated with another shop, tuned somewhere else, ect. does not matter at all and I will never talk down or degrade anyone elses work or try to peddle anything.. I just want it to be a good time for everyone, I would even encourage any other shops to come if they wanted..

Heres a few pics I had in my photobucket but hopefully tommorow I can finish up an introduction thread and throw it in the vendor announcement section with some better pics..

Pete you have a link to your photobucket account? I know I took some other pics that day on the dyno along with a few vids.
Jw if you still have them.

And you are most likely correct in your assumption, I have a feeling you may be playing with those stock top mounts again sometime soon!!

I'm always up for a dyno day especially to video and meet new people. Only problem is that mostly every meet/show/event is on a saturday when i work so sometimes its hard for me to make them unless their very local. Either way let us now Pete, i'll do my best to make it out.

Pete, glad to hear your car is coming along...

Petey, I'd come down to check out the facility if you set something up.

Doug, did you just copy and paste that **** or are you going for an engineering degree or something?
