We just installed some Continental ExtremeWinterContacts on the wifes mini. They seem to be good so far. They are like truck tires though. You need all the help you can get in this weather, more ground clearance and tread capability the better.

Pretty much. We do get together somewhat often. If your into autox, a bunch of us on here are SCCA members. Where you at in the 610? Im in Exton.

I was gonna suggest swapping out your COP for the stock coils. Keep us updated, good luck Chu. My rad is pretty btw. Not installed yet though.

I would like to get one, but the one on sale by the private owner looks like a great price.

Need to check the insurance rates for the evoX just to see how much more I would be paying. That's the thing, the RA is easy on that insurance and a decent DD. I don't mind modding it too, but it would make more sense to just get the "upgrades" for a few thousand by getting a cheap slightly used X.

I'm in Springfield. There's only one other person with an EVO here and I'm friends with him.

I've seen a lot of SCCA videos of EVO's flying through the courses, particularly a silver IX. I'm not really into autox, I've never tried it but I plan on road coursing.

I've owned DSM's for the past 5 years and it feels good to be done with them.

Ok, I swapped the OEM coils back and things seems fine again...hitting full boost, with exception I'm spiking to 27psi, lol (nice cold condition out!) Anyways, when I pulled the cop off, I noticed one "spring" was stuck at an angle. I wonder if that could have caused my problems as it may not have fully touched the plug. I fixed it, but think i may sent it back to the vendor to have it looked at.

Yes, you need all seasons. Are you up here yet, did you see the snow yesterday?

Are you gonna use them all year or you looking at just something for the winter? If your going for all year I suggest something a little more sporty like Pilot Sport A/S, Pirelli PZero Nero. If you just need something for the winter I would try the Kumho ASX or Sumitomo HTR+. Just go to tirerack and look at everything.

Na man, I will be up there the 6th of January. I only will use these for the snowy season. I have some good tires for when it's play time. Thanks for the recommendations. I was actually looking at those Kumho asxs. Have you ever used them?

I used these on one of my fwd DSM's. They were brand new and I used them through the winter one year and they were great in the snow for an Ultra High Performance All Season tire.

I actually have them on my EVO now with the stock wheels. They are pretty good for spring and fall.

I just bought a pair of Blizzak LM-25's today off a friend thats EVO is history. They were only used for 1 season and have plenty of tread. Got them for $300 opposed to $600 plus brand new.

Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped
