You guys do have me mildly paranoid. I really hope my research and knowledge pays off this time. As "easy" as it's become to yank the trans, I'm sure my wife would be pissed if I had to do it again anytime soon. Everything I read said the unsprung disc hasn't had very many problems when broken in properly. I'd love to do a twin disc, but that's a load of money I can't fly under the radar with another kid and school coming up. I'm close to $10K in this car in mods and repairs over the last few years. That's a huge chunk of change.

3 motor rebuilds 1 of which was a 2.3L built twice, a trans rebuild and several different turbo setups. It adds up quickly, but I always made back a good chunk of what I spent. I wish I had kept the stroker motor now. It would have been great with this turbo.

 

And a Mishimoto will be mine again one day!

 

Thinking of trans jobs on an evo in this weather just made me almost shed a tear.. If you guys think we have it bad the X's are exactly the same but MUCH WORSE!

I think I spent less money on my car then anyone that posts here, the damn thing needs a makeover!.. I just wanna pay it off honestly so I can finally build something to my liking, or get this RX7 show on the road it's a 5 letter!!

going back to the typhoon CAI. they're not just crappy for evos. the tubing was known to bust open on srt-4s all the time. it sounds like an all around bad product.

 

You IX boys have a alittle advantage over us VIIIs with your MIVEC and turbo when it comes to entry level mods. VIIIs are always spending a few more dollars for a few extra parts to make the same kind of power...
