I just try to stretch a lot but it's still stiff in the morning and by the end of the day. My knees took the brunt of the crap. I can't run more than a couple miles before they throb and start to sound like a bag of potato chips crunching. The shoulders only really act up if I'm working overhead or I throw a football a few times. Otherwise it's just a little sore in the am. Getting old sucks.

Oh and I almost forgot the chronic neck pain. Kiddies don't pop your neck or take a hard kick to the side of the noggin without a brace on. That one is non stop.

josh, never worked in drywall delivery but I can see why you hurt! jeez thats brutal on your joints. mine are all just stupid sports accidents.

everyone (most) know about all my concussions which isnt good but makes for some funny stories. i got screws and wires holding my ankle together. for the should i just stick with OC 20mgs and cortizone shots until i have time to get them fixed one at a time.

until then, i just try to lift light, do cardio as the ankle permits, and eat healthy. i miss lifting heavy a lot, but its nice to fit back into my old dress shirts (neck/back)!

nice to meet you Saxon, im Ryan. only 26k, wow shes still a virgin! enjoy her.

hey dan, another great post from your boy cbr1000: just a guy asking for advice about first time mods, response:

I say screw what your goals are for the car... in my opinion your asking for some general guidance related to "where you should start." There's tons of threads here, but to sum it up. (you need to search all of these and decide what works best for your application)

clear bra, especially the rear door that flairs out

buy a second set of tires, don't matter if you see snow or not, the stock tires are not good in cold (<30 degree) weather

get an alignment right away, the stock alignment is way off and getting a new alignment made a huge difference for me

empty out your trunk.. you can loose 50 lbs by pulling the tire/tools

buy weathertech floor mats

buy an exhaust

buy an uicp

either get the coilovers you were thinking about or go with a rear sway bar and springs

search for a tuner

now start thinking about what your goals are....save up money and get ready for the second round of buying stuff, everybody needs a tune, pick up some wheels in the summer to put your stock tires on...

Just my opinion, but I'm guessing where should you start, and everything above will get you started with basic things everybody needs

btw, you should reconsider waiting for the breakin period, I'd say start on this stuff now.

It's running but turboless until this weekend if the shop sends the wheels back like they promised. I had it running for exactly 2 miles, boosted to like 5 PSI and popped the head gasket.

if it wasn't a taumatic injury it could be the build up of scar tissue in the ligaments which could be broken down with ART.

whats ART ? something something therapy? scar tissue build up is a PITA and causes a lot of pain. cortizone shots are the way to go! although not that healthy since they only mask the pain and depending on the joint, hurt like hell getting the needle in.

im only 23, i cant imagine my body at 40+. Never really took injuries serious until the last concussion. not remembering stuff like classes, names, zip code kinda slaps you back to reality. protect that noggin, you only got one!

explanation

cortisone while helps temporarily it will cause more damage to the joint as it weakens joints
