probably on other ledges or they are hanging from ropes. They did a great job on that video.

Its possible that bouldering will be an olympic sport soon.

 

wasn't it Hemingway who said "There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.” Not sure how he figured that, but its always stuck in my mind.

 

Never heard that, but it sounds like him. I am surprised that he didn't add hunting to the list.

Given the era Hemingway lived in, both motorsports and mountaineering required serious cajones. They still do, but technology has made them both much safer.

 

after I posted that I thought maybe he meant they are sports because you can actually kill yourself doing them... where as games like baseball and football the chance of death is not very likely. Thats the only reasoning I could come up with.
