Thats right, I forgot you said you were removing those things for points. Are you planning on staying TTA for a while? What other mods/de-mods do you have in the works?

You don't even want to know what I'm contemplating for next year... its madness!

Ill be in tta for awhile. Don't have the budget to be competitive in tts at national level, unlimited class could get very expensive.

There's really nothing else I could remove. Im taking out the ohlins and putting in AST 4100 to get 5 points back.

Why are the ast coils giving you back 5 points? I'm assuming maybe the OHLINS had external reservoir or something. Also, what do you think of the asts lol, they are on my list of next coils to buy

According to nasa tt rules. If top part of shock (shaft) is larger than 40mm, thats an addition 4 points. Inverted strut is an addition 1 point. The ohlins have both of these features and the as 4100 does not. Ast builds these shocks specifically for the rules. They are not on the car yet, still waiting on swift springs to arrive. Also, ast just bought out Moton.

The ast 5000 series are inverted, so they would be the same points as the ohlins.

Hay Mr. Volk-
I saw your lonely crack and thought that crack needed another crack friend right next to it.

Do you think the one crack caused the second crack by weakening the strength of the wheel?

I think the work done on the wheel (twice now) stressed the wheel and caused damage.
people worry about powdercoating damaging wheel strength, but imagine what a welder could do.
