Pete, I had a chance to watch a few minutes of those vids David posted from NJMP. I plan to watch the rest of them in whole tonight (hopefully) along with the vids Mike posted. All I have to say from the few minutes I saw is nice driving man! For only your 6th track day ever I'd say you are progressing very nicely. I clocked you at a mid 1:18 with a stopwatch and based off Matt's time and the distance he was behind you (ricer math) you probably have a 1:17 in there somewhere. That is fast enough to pass most anyone in the blue/white group which makes sense since that is exactly what you were doing.

Good morning Ryan, pretty sure I'll be in early all weak if you want to have a "who gets into the office earlier" contest?

Also, I blame my reaction to the sun on the antibiotics I'm taking... It says right on the bottle to be careful of sun exposure. Probably didn't help I was in the sun for 3 of the last 4 days.
Its def the antibiotics, I was on a job when I had that reaction. My knuckles split open and ****. I thought all the skin was going to peal off my hands. It was worse than the lyme by far

Thanks dude! I know I have a lot to work on when it comes to driving, esp the whole heel-and-toe thing... and I think you meant Mat, btw.

In other news, dan, did you get caught in that traffic jam on 322 this morning? WMMR is reporting Ryan Dunn was killed in that crash while driving a black Porsche. I just saw him 2 weeks ago at TDR. Thats a shame, RIP.

Third in PAX! I believe that is my best ever PAX finish in the Philly region. Too bad I couldn't drive for **** my last two runs. I think I could have grabbed the second spot.

You jumped up a few places with that last run. Must have been the warmup laps

yeah you knew who I meant... the only guy named Mat who was following you around with a camera.

work on that heel-toe and you should be bumped up to White by the end of your next event, whenever that may be. I would still ride with an instructor though if I were you. There are some techinques you need to learn (late point-by/off-line passing for example) before you get into a situation that might scare the crap outta you.

Dude, you left before we got a chance to really catch up. I came back and saw you pulling away. I will give you a call later today!

I would not call your tires "beat" compared to mine. I have about one track weekend left, and they'll be off the wheels. Running two drivers in yesterday's heat kept the tires too hot for my liking. The car was all over the place compared to how it felt at the last event. I need to start bringing the ice water sprayer again, as it will only get hotter.

Very good "this is my excuse why I didn't drive well" post.

I have slight chunking on my driverside fron tire, my guess is from the abuse it took friday at Lightning. I probably blistered it slightly and didn't realize it. So yeah, they have some tread left, but that tire is hurt.

Pete, yes I got caught in that 322 mess this morning after my wife warned me to go another way. That is absolutely nuts that he died. My next door neighbor just showed him a house in the area for he and his family. It's actually F'd and there is no excuse to drive like that. You can get really fast on that section but I've had deer jump in front of me out of nowhere. I do a brisk speed when I can but no top speed type driving there.
