I'm watching the rolex series from vir right now, it is wet as a **** and looks sooo scetchy out there, no thanks.
So between that painters tape and my own stupidity I ruined my headlights. This is kinda long, but has a good ending... So lastnight got home, unloaded the car but didn't pull in the garage as I wanted it to cool off. So I thought while I was there I would get the leftover gunk off my headlights from the tape. Grabbed the googone (cause it was sitting right there) and proceeded to use it with a towel.. Well, there's something in that adhesive that didn't like that. It completely eched into my headlight (I only effed up the pass side), the adhesive turned into an epoxy almost. It was the worst thing I've ever seen on a headlight, you wouldn't be able to see ish out of this thing at night.. I didn't get a picture of it but wish I had. I tried everything to get this crap off, rubbing alcohol, brake cleaner, gas, acetone, metal polish... anything I could think of but nothing worked. Not knowing what to do I went to the local grand sport auto, shop was closed, but so guys were doing some side work. Met a guy (maybe 28-30ish), he said only thing to do was sand and polish them and even then no guarantee's it would work (it was that bad). To clear them of liability, he gave me a bucket and said if I sanded, he would polish. So I got after it, took me about 45min, 800 then 1500, then 2000grit. Thankfully it all came out, even he was really surprised. Total cost, about $35, bought him a case of Yards Pale Ale.
The results

The driverside was kinda nasty to begin with, thankfully I didn't use the goo-gone on it, just rubbed the adhesive off with a dry towel (I kinda learned on the first one). I didn't spend as much time on it, so its still a tad yellow, better than it looked before though.
