Probably Jeff Jacobs. He's a machine in that mini... I bet he only used the brakes for the turnaround

here's the schedule for that weekend.
http://www.emraracing.org/forms/NJMPSchedule7302011.pdf

they are just starting to do two day time trials this year. in previous years, Time Trial were just on Sunday.

looks like there will be three 20 minutes TT practice sessions on Saturday, and four 20 minutes session on Sunday. you can do both days because there will be instructors there for both days. EMRA only does Time Trials and no HPDE, but you don't have to get a transponder if you don't want time. you can buy a transponder or they'll have some there you can rent for $35 per day i think.

$275 for both days is pretty cheap. and if it's your fist time with EMRA, you get a $100 discount. and you'll need to pay $40 for a TT license for the year (everyone needs a TT license)

Thanks. That explains it. I didn't get the whole Saturday schedule. Thief website didn't really answer my questions either.

It's this open passing even for beginners?

EMRA does not have open passing for Time Trails. it's point by in straights only, because track insurance for open passing is very expensive.

Ok cool. I'm not at all ready for open passing. I feel I could pass people without many issues but I dont think i could trust people's judgement to blast up and passing me when the think they saw fit. That's a whole skill I have yet to develop.

I think Ryan Leach took FTD, not Jacobs. They were making fun of him for bouncing early for a wedding.

5/15/2011, never forget. i swear Pete had me in the last run before he spun though. He was blazingly fast down the first section, and i held my breath. Was definitely on the throttle longer than I was in the back. I was more worried about him going into the grass though! Alot of ppl spun in the afternoon session, and it was completely dry.
