Why wouldn't you? The difference in cost for tires is minimum at best, couple of bucks.

best way to clean off your rotors is to put on CL pads (RC6 or RC8) and drive around for a couple hundred miles. sintered iron is like sand paper when its cold.
i had horrible pad deposits from Hawk pads at the track and couldn't even steer the car when i hit the brakes. i thought the rotors were done but Tim let me use his set or RC6, after 5 laps and the rotors were back to normal. so i keep a set of old RC6 in my tool box in case i need to clean my rotors at the track
