I was in Ocean City for the day yesterday. I did the OC trifecta; Lunch from Voltaco's, dinner at Mack and Manco and a tub of Johnson popcorn.

When I was driving out in the morning, I got pulled over by the NJ State Police on the AC expressway. He said that they had clocked me with a laser doing 88 in a 65. I have no idea how or why, but he gave me a warning and sent me on my way.

I was doing about 95mph, but a blue 370z going westbound was flashing his lights at me. I did start to slow down, but they must have hit me with the laser right after I saw the Z.

Yes, I was running with the wing. After Monticello, the RS trunk is going on for the winter. I'm going to redo the clear coat, and there is a small rust spot under the wing that needs to be addressed. Some kid in a late 90's Civic tried to race on the bridge going into Norristown (202) the other day. Not only does the RS feel different with the wing, the car sticks out 10x more than it did pre-wing.

 

I remember you saying that at the BBQ. I wonder if the wing wasn't there would the cop have ever wasted his time???

I have a couple aero things I want to do over the winter, VG and rear diffuser are on the list...

I got stuck in a group of ricers when driving near atco last week. Nothing confuses teenagers in 2.5rs's and neons more than an evo that wont street race

 

Who knows. I'm sure that police in general will pay more attention to the car with the wing on the back.

When the trunk lid/wing go back on next spring, I'm probably going to get a VG and a gurney flap. I may get a pair of canards for the front. Only if I can find an affordable pair that can be easily removed for AutoX.

 

yeah that and the fact that my car won't go far with this in its current postion.

I go to Stone Harbor. It's just over the bridge. I don't know if I'm definitely going given above picture. Sort of feel bad skipping town and leaving Josh with it and coming to pick it up when it's convenient for me.

That's awesome. I was just thinking about how I got a warning when speeding after too much to drink back in college. I was given a field sobriety test also. Oh how those days have passed.

Dude! It's Jersey. That's only slightly speeding over there sometimes.

I've cruised at 100mph just to prove that I'd have someone on my *** no matter what speed I go over there.

I was completely set on the autox, but with this oil leak springing up I'm not taking any chances. It was a close call too many times with the red rocket this summer. I fixed my oil leak, but I want to baby it for a week or two of solid driving. Unfortunately I'm still converting Johns POS to speed density and tuning it for E85 (which requires I drive it back and forth to work). It's taking forever. It will be several weeks before I really drive my car at this rate.
