BTW starting the car in the cold is a ***** with E85 (E70). I have to beat the **** out of the starter to get the thing running when it is below freezing.

The X's don't have nearly the cold starting issues as the viii/ix's on e85. all you guys do is complain about how hard it is to start. My car was always one false start then it would start right up. (awaits chu's response about being parked in a 50* garage but i've done it in 20* weather parked outside just before I switched back to pump gas).

E85 is awesome. /story

(awaits chu's response to the tune of alwaysxxxxxxxx or cool story bro or that's cute).

I dont' remember ever defending it for daily driving. If I did, I apologize for that position. I do recall saying its fine as long as you carry extra and plan your routes accordingly.

Same issues here. Its come down to the tuning. Ray lives in MA, and never had cold start issues either.

How many X's do you know of that are on E85?

I do remember you complaining about cold start issues through text messages...maybe not as bad as us, but the fact is you did. I would love to see you back on E85 and daily drive for an entire winter! Don't do it for the track though, I don't want to hear anymore complains about weight!
