Marc, did you run in the colder AM sessions at all? My beat RS3 was freaking hard as a rock. They weren't any better in the afternoon, but got alittle more grip...I need new tires now. This was my third time on Thunderbolt, and second time running the chicane, I managed 1.44 according to my laptimer.

Chau has video of himself, me, and Dan chasing for a few laps...that was the funnest part of my day!

I put some vids of the last long 1 hour session up in the motorsports section thread. Looking back, I don't know why we all didn't line up and go out for the last run. I was out there and only saw a few other evos. That would have made for some EPIC footage if we all were chasing each other and put this who is king of cold tires to rest. Guess we'll jsut have to wait till next time.
Help the NEWB out, what were the other times. I have nothing to compare too. Nice job on winning the domination!

Nice job on organizing this event, surely it took alot on your part and who ever helped you to get this thing together. Love the shirts, my wife even laughed when she saw it.

I can't hang with the full bore warm up lap, I almost lost the car following you into the chicane.

My best lap was a 1:38.34, which I think puts me 3rd out of us. I know guys there were cutting way faster laps than me but I feel pretty good about that. I was happy to get into the 1:38's.

Dan, thats gansta lean on my car btw, not body roll. Glad to see both you and Chu move up to White. You guys look like you were getting around pretty good.

I wanted to go out in that session, but definitely not with my car in that state. Bouncing in green and white gave me enough track time though.

BTW Aaron, thanks for pointing out about my rear roll center when we spoke. I lowered it .5 inch in the back, and the car felt more balanced. I think it needs another 1/4 inch...

Damn, we definitely should have lined up to go out together. I spent half of a session each time catching or waiting for someone on track to chase.

So...I will aim for 1.37 at Thunderbolt this summer.

Do oyu guys let off before the marker down the straight? I would cruise a bit until the 5 marker, and brake for the turn. I was hitting ABS in a lot of hard braking areas, so I was letting off down the straight often with that speed. Was only hitting 125 according to Trackmaster.

:44 is very respectable. with some tweaks to your driving you'll be in the 30's in no time! :37 by year end is a good goal.

Fast guys are probably running around :35;s or so. It wasn't a race, though. At least for me, lol.

lol @ gangsta lean. You have the least modded car (suspension wise) probably out of the whole bunch and you were only a couple thousandths off much better prepped cars. Nice wheelin' holmes.

I too skured to go any faster than 115 on the straight. I wasn't trying to find out when the brakes weren't going to be there. Last session I had a nice cloud of smoke coming from the front brakes as I was sitting in the garage.

My time was 1:52. I had to battle my fears especially at turn 12 after what *cough* happened.

that brake smoke is probably some tire clag that fell on the hot rotors/caliper and burning up, that happens often.

Thanks again to marc for setting up the pcd cold tire domination!! I had a blast out their yesterday. According to track masters my best lap was a 1:47. I am very happy with how I did. We definitely have to do this next year.

James, whats wrong with your rotors.

Chu, was your car just and exhaust leak?

im uploading my video, it said 238 min just for one lol got to love slow work computers

Thanks, Marc.

Chu, 125.5mph (gps, not speedo) was the highest I saw on the laps I looked at. I do not ride the gas all the way down to turn one, I roll out and coast for a while before I get to the braking zone.

Jimmy, you sure that isn't just pad transfer? Happens a lot when tracking.
