Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
While you bishes were dodging cones I was tearing it up @ NJMP. There were some FAST cars out there this weekend in the red group. It was a lot of fun and a great start off to the year. I managed to hit my personal goal of a :15 @ lightning on Saturday and was shooting for a :32 @ thunderbolt on Sunday, but I don't think it happened.
On Sunday I got deep into the :35's with traffic in my first session @ Thunderbolt. I was happy with that time and knew with open track I would only get better. Second session I dipped into the high :34's a few times and had a little less traffic to deal with although there were some cars who just flat-out refused to let this white ricer by. I went and had a few words with some of the drivers and that seemed to help with all but one who just didn't believe his Porsche was slower that a mitsubishi.
By the third session I was starting to build a rhythm and had beat my previous best time of a mid :34.6 with a :34.5 and most of my laps were low :35's high :34's, but I knew I still had more time out there. On my last session i turned the boost up to 22psi, from the 19psi I was running all weekend, and let it all hang out. I was running nose-tail with some fast cars and it felt like I was really moving. When the session was over I was stoked to see what the lap timer said but I was pissed when I saw that none of my laps from that session recorded.
TO make it even worse I forgot to charge my camera battery and only got half the session so I can't even bench race using the video and a stop watch.
I talked with one of the cars I was running with and he said his timer said :32's but unless I have it on my timer I am not going to speculate. Guess I'll just have to go back and do it again.
Here is one lap of thunderbolt with me pointing by a FAST f'ing Porsche race car.

Overall I am really happy with the car. I was running less mods/power than before and running faster everywhere. With more power, a couple tweaks, better pads and a little luck I think my goal of a :32 is in reach!

i realized at the beginning of the TnT I forgot to totally think autox. I was braking and turning like I was driving HPDE.
I forgot to put my seatbelt and was confused why I was violently shifting around the car lol

Im getting another set of NT05 for hpde. They are cheap, last for ever and handle the heat well. They are not the best tires for standing water though, but I have regular street tires for those occasions
HAHA same here I had corey ride with me and he said I had to tighten up my line i was driving like it was road racing. Lmao they sent some guy off with no helmet in a miata.
