Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I just think its strange that you won't take your real car to the track, but yet you'll take your beater... the login doesn't compute in my simple little mind. Where's Tim when i need him?
I don't think I was ever hating on the CTD event, I just wasn't sure I was going to be able to attend due to financial reasons.

pete, like i said, i have very little interesting in drag racing my evo. having a daily driver shootout would be fun imo. are you willing to argue that after driving down long straight aways on racetracks that drag racing is appealing to you?
in other news: i wish tow hooks were as easy on X to use/install as they are for you guys.

What makes tow hooks so easy for our cars versus yours?
Chu, I did get the same thing Marc has, just waiting for it to show up.
how do your tow hook bolt in? is there a hole in the crash beam already or do you need to drill and weld in threads? plus the IX's have that split in the bump for the hook to come out.
in the X's you need to drill and weld in something threaded. jmfab sells a modified crash beam for $500 with like $200 back for your core.
that is the only option for a functional tow hook on the X.

my tow hook is bolted to the front crash bar. I would think you could do the same for the X, but I would need to look at it.
Sounds like there is a market out there for an easy to install tow hook for an X.

your's bolt on and are flat right?
the way the X's are, they have to screw in the front of the crash bar. the USDM evo X's have the cut out in the bumper but no threads to thread in a tow hook.
here is what i am talking about:

Drag racing to me is a challenge. Trying to get the most out of my car, and driving to the best of my ability, and always looking for ways to improve. Getting a personal best time is a thrill that I am constantly chasing, no matter what kind of racing I am doing.
If you like racing the 'Rolla so much, why don't you take it to the next HPDE?
