Dear Dan, one of the "new" cars you own, is now 4yrs old. No longer a "new car", sorry buddy. Glad to hear you're saving money, more to spend on domination.
Great to hear about the Glen, what run group did you sign up for? Better not be, C!
For realz? I ain't never heard a dem...

Direct from MSR;
Students are assigned to Advanced (A-solo, A and more-experienced B students, ~20 or more days experience), or a combined Intermediate/Novice (C and upper-level D) group (~5-20 days; >2 days, respectively, no first-timers). The number of days of experience is approximate. Instructors and club racers make up the remaining two run groups on the schedule at this school.
Chu, they ask you to list you experience. That's what I did and registered for C. So either they will keep me there or bump me down to "upper level" D. I don't care either way. I just don't want to be in all the first timer stuff.
You're not allowed to complain about your new job yet, either. Suck it up!
How's the group break-down? Its by letter, and I interpreted it to be A=solo, B=experience, "soloable." C=intermediate, D=novice. no?

For the one we just did, I don't think they had a D.
Instructor, A-Solo, A, B, C.
I ran with with A and it was no problem. Did I dominate, no, but I passed a lot of cars. I plan on signing up for A-Solo this time. Hopefully the Tech Cheif will be cool with that, if he's not, then I'll have an instructor, no biggie.
I would have signed up for B if I were you guys.
Pete, this event might be different with run groups. D group is their novice group. They are offering a $100 discount for people who have never run an event before and that will be group D.
Boberto, Tim and Chau did a BMW CCA event like that at Lightning last fall and were put into a "sub" green group (purple) that gave them 3 sessions for the whole day and lots of classroom time. Most of those guys in that group were driving like they were having mechanical issues.
Our choices for this event are D (novice), C (intermediate), B (advanced 2), A (advanced 1) and A-solo.
I'm perfectly happy with running in C since it will be my first time at any track than NJMP.
