I'm here...just picking my time to strike.

Drag racing to me is a challenge. Trying to get the most out of my car, and driving to the best of my ability, and always looking for ways to improve. Getting a personal best time is a thrill that I am constantly chasing, no matter what kind of racing I am doing.

If you like racing the 'Rolla so much, why don't you take it to the next HPDE?
who are you telling to "man up?"

last i checked you were too skurd to come out to an HPDE.....

i have absolutely zero fear of running at the drag strip. it just doesn't interest me. maybe one day i'll change my mind.

in the X's you need to drill and weld in something threaded. jmfab sells a modified crash beam for $500 with like $200 back for your core.

that is the only option for a functional tow hook on the X.

Sounds like there is a market out there for an easy to install tow hook for an X.
Like Marc said, it's a bolt-on affair, but not like its already there and you just do it. It takes a DIYer some skill to take the bumper off, align for fitment, drill some holes, and modified the grill for it. On the X, you already have an openning in the bumper like many EDM cars sold in the US. All it is it getting a threaded bung welded to the crash beam to receive the tow hook. JMF just makes it sound difficult, but I'm sure anyone who welds aluminum can do it.

I'll also be using mine to prevent bumper rash for parallel parking in the city! LOL

i'm sure the make it sound difficult to promote their product. i think i'll just pony up the money to buy from them when the time comes (which really is now) since they claim it can be used for tow hooks.

i'd hate to put forth the effort of mocking everything up and having someone weld what i think would work and then need to be towed and have the thing snap off instantly .

I used to go somewhat often... not no more though. Only ran the Evo once, at Cecil. 13.20 @ 108, my first and fastest pass. Stock clutch, ftl.

Anyone can do a limited run of Enkei wheels...you just need to order 50 sets (200 wheels) at a time...pay half up front...and wait 6 months for product. No biggie. So...how many sets of pink and purple NTO3s do you guys want?

I ain't ashamed...I am skurd!

There's much less at stake doing a little drag racing. To each their own.

You have a clutch now, so you should come out and bring that time down!

as someone who's done both, extensively, I would respectfully disagree with that statement.
