cars been in the shop for 5 weeks with no parts ordered and no work done. was doing an out of network shop in order to get the money in check form, order parts cheaper and better (different bumper than stock 8, and different hood) but it has been nothing but a nightmare. adjuster has been out 3-4 times and keeps missing parts and not including supplemental adjustments. in fed up, unlike all you guys, i miss DD my evo, i just want it back.
i am going tomorrow to pick up the car and take it to an in network shop (that I know and trust in this area) and drop it off. see if i can work it out with the shop since i have now three different insurance checks and see what I should do. if its all stock OEM, then thats fine. Out of network would mean I would have made enough money to cover the deductible, but if i have to pay 500 just to get it done right in a week or so, thats fine. installing a hood, bumper, and headlight is a couple hours MAX. if it werent for painting, i would just do it myself.
and yea, going to try an make it out sat just for the day. when does racing start? you guys heading up fri? seeing that car hit the deer at hyperfest in person was freaking crazy!
anyone do a 3m clear bra on bumper/hood? good link of where to buy? want to prevent rock chips on a brand new black bumper/hood.
beers and food after racing on sat! should be fun to see cold tire domination. and dan, you prob could beat me in the corolla. i suck at anything but hardparking, you know this. i love the corrolla, awesome gas mileage. been more focused on what job to take or keep applying to something else. working blowssssss.

Warm Tire Domination Operation Kick Azz Brakes commences tonight
On the agenda, jack car up and get on stands, remove all wheels, remove undertray, remove front bumper, install AC fan - not sure what bolts, hope to have them in house
Tomorrow, remove calipers and rotors and install azz kicking brake setup, install brake cooling ducts from Shoe Motorsports!, wait for Mark to come over and burn trees and bleed brakes. Thursday night put everything back on car, drink beers and smile. Friday I plan on being there unloaded, set up camp Domination, commence grilling and drinking.
