drove my dads X again today. it may just be how damn loud the exhaust is or how awesome it sounds, but this was the first time since he has owned it and ive driven it that I REALLY liked it. It sounded way better than my 8, was wider, and I like the front seats WAY more. Could just be that I havent had my 8 in 6 weeks and this car is 8 model yrs newer, but it was like a revelation.

heres one for all you X guys. the exhaust just makes me jealous. the extreme version of Dan's exhaust sounds amazing. mad jelly yo.

you can get an E36 M3 already with wheels, bushings, tires, harnesses etc for like 7k. Throw in a custom cage for 1400, a big wing, and your set to go. I'll see if i can upload any of my friends cars. they range from driven to the track. to fully prepped. Although most of them have sweet trailers that can double as mobile homes.

you're dad has the extreme version of my exhaust?

also i think your bmw estimates and mod estimates are a bit off. you may be able to get some of that for under $14-15k total.

See if you can guess this track (before it gets to the end and shows the track name)

Not sure if any of these will work as I am not good at copying pictures etc.

but these are some pics and a short vid of my buddies properly set up car. Used to run TTC, not sure of the class now. He just wont w/e class at hyperfest, and is racking up the free hoosiers. car has scary grip, fun to ride in.

video is 20 mins, but worth the watch even if only partial

another cool video from the guy who came in 2nd place to my buddy. they had a good battle going on for a while. talked to the 2nd place guy, and he used everything the car had to pass my friend. When my friend passed him back to re-take first place, the yellow car had nothing left (tire wise and other things) and slowly dropped back into the pack since they were lapping the other class on the track. ended up staying in 2nd. cool guy a nice car. love these M3s.

another friend sold his C5 Z06 to buy a trailer and a black m3 (7k) and just finished putting in his cage. drives well, and looks great in all black. next season he is going to extend the cage from just the back to cover the front too. everyone there has a damn M3 except one guy with an S2k.

other than them, the new mustangs were bad@ss and of course the new, fully prepped Z06s were dominating. sounded the meanest of the bunch. although the gtr was pretty bas@ss as well. if they werent on my phone, i would upload them all. but im stupid and lazy.

Big deal. Other than the two people that are regulars in this thread, there are only two that posted in that thread that are definitely going....one is a track day veteran in an S197 and the other is a novice in an S/Cd E36M3 that I think I am instructing.

Late as usual...
Loaded, packed, need to get my 78 gallons of E85, fill up on diesel, goto my office for 5 minutes and I will be on my way.. 1.5 hours from office in all this traffic I am about to hit, who knows. Hope I make it there by 6

Its ridicoulous how many gas cans I have in the back of my truck with a stupid 8' folding table. Why, because thats how I roll with PCD , my truck is way packed.

carson are you racing this weekend? body shop said nose chop was impossible without secondary bumper and not structurally safe at high speed without the support etc.

basically i am going back to 100% OEM stock! I need to borrow your car to prove him wrong, text incoming.

petey, when are you going to make me a custom exhaust like Sandbox and tune my/my dad's car? sooner rather than later?

thinking of a 5.0 mustand resto or a trans am with spray for the rest of the summer, thoughts? (an no, I am not the financier)

I can't sleep anymore.

Ryan, I don't have the Evo anymore. I might have pictures of the bumper in the middle of making it. They are correct in saying it won't be 100 percent perfect in structsure. They need to use all of your mesh from an 8 bumper to make it sturdy, as well as a radiator shroud to hold the top part together.

any info you have for getting this done right, please share. I'm planning to have a nose chop done in about two weeks while i'm away in Vegas. Be nice to have something last, rather than something i have to get fixed on a yearly basis.
