i did about 6 laps in Chu's car and got 1:17.2
i also did about 10 laps in fineberg's car and got 1:17.6
i don't drive as hard in other people's car as i do in mine, but i think fineberg's car is capable of low 16s or high 15s if i was driving harder or someone else better than me driving it

didn't get any lap times in my car because i didn't have the timer set for the first two session. was going to set timer later but my tranny too a dump, so i spent the rest of saturday driving other people's car. didn't drive at all sunday except for a few laps with nelson's car.

but my fastest on street tires with my car was 1:14.6 from last year (with huge boost leak, mad excuse son)

fastest time in the crx was 1:27. It should be towards the end of the first video I posted.

lots of mechanical issues this weekend.

- fineberg's car spitting oil from every place possible, loosing half quart every couple sessions. also spitting coolant, not sure from where. lost a hose plug and had boost leak. ran hot every session (the oem temp gauge was pegged) for the entire weekend. i'm surprised the car lasted more than one session. shows how sturdy these cars are.

- Grillo's LICP keep pooping off, couldn't keep it on

- Justin broke the shift linkage in his e36

- i lost 3/4th gear in my car

- nelson's ACD wasn't working and his LICP keep coming off

- chau's engine done blown up during second session on saturday. good thing fineberg had his trailer there to tow it home.

seriously, tell your buddy to put the stock shifter back in before he miss shift and blow up the motor. that's the first time that i turned down a opportunity to drive a car on track but i was afraid of that shifter. he also needs to put a 5 point harness in there. i only rod with you because i knew you weren't going to do anything crazy, but most other instructors that don't know you will not get in the car with only 4point harness.

Lots of mechanical issues for sure. Even Dan, who never touches his car, had it on jack stands and tires off. Big or small, seems like everyone had something going on. Thanks again to Mike for letting me and Chau borrow the truck to tow the 240 home!!! I think Mike got more issues fixed this weekend at the track than at the month of time he has spent at other "shops." LOL

By the way, if I recall correctly, I think he was sick of the hassle of E85 by the end of the day...

Anyone else want to give E85 a try at the track?

Yeah, i told him about the harnesses and the shifter. I'm sure it will get done prior to the next event. I need to see which harnesses Marc or you were using, i really liked those.

Mad fun this weekend, bishes! Thanks to errbody who came thru to hang/help and dominate,

I am sore and my head still hurts a little but I am no worse for wear.

Mike, glad you had fun and didn't kill yourself or the car. Can't believe that thing made it thru the whole weekend with all the problems you were having. Also can't believe you were out there almost every session with all the problems you were having. Fool you CRAY!!! I hope you have video of us almost flying off track before turn one, even though it won't really show how dramatic it was.

Brad's car is fu(king loud and ****. My hearing has deminished because of riding in it all weekend I am sure. Carson and Brad, ya'll are still young dudes but if they keep driving that car as is without ear protection you're gonna be deaf by the time you're my age. Fa realz! Get a stock(ish) exhaust back on there and some 6 point harnesses along with a decent amount of roll bar padding and put the stock shifter back in there and the car will be money for track work and your passengers will thank you!

Seems like almost errone had some type of issue this weekend. I flat spotted my tires halfway thru the 2nd or third session on Saturday, so I had to drive the rest of the weekend with a nasty vibration shaking the whole car. Still was able to manage a 1:19.4 in the bimmer... I think that is the fastest bimmer time for the group but I am sure Justin will correct me if I am wrong.

I have no pictures and a little video from the weekend.

I think we need another event like this before summer ends, where everyone comes out again. Hanging out in a large group was awesome, on and off the track. Peeps were mad jelly of our setup this past weekend, thats for sure.

next time we just need to organize a little better. way too much food and not enough of other things at times. Consider this the dry run for WGI, lol.
