Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I feel like I'm dissecting a bomb every time. I'm keep all systems and services online while doing this and since our systems are used by offices all over the world its a bit scary.
GL with that..
I did it all night Friday until 4am Saturday went home came back at 9am Sat and continued til like 4pm went home and finished remotely on Saturday night into Sunday. Glad I don't have to do that again for at least 2 years. luckily everything we do is virtualized. I've spent the last two weeks prepping for this weekend which should take about 4-5 hours.
I've migrated about 14 TB of data without no one noticing
Can't say what I did, working at Comcast14 is secret business but I prepped for 2 weeks too and it should of only taken 5-7 hours but it didn't go so well.
For those who have Androids and use Harrys Lap Timer. I'd like to share this new article if you haven't read already http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...trackaroo.aspx I've used this app since last year and it works great I think I mentioned it at TD event last month. I'm glad it finally got the spot light it needed and was thoroughly and properly tested by a good source. From an IT perspective the apps just works and performs well and he is always adding new features/updates for free. I paid $3 for it then and I think it's $6 now.
Jeff also makes other apps, but I think the best one on top of Trackmasters is the Live View addon app for $3, Say if you guys take my phone out in your car and I get on my laptop and log into my account I can see where you are at in real time, then next lap it will show if you're behind or not(split marker). Not only that if you more people have Trackmasters and currently syncing and I can add their emails to Live View session and it shows them on it. (I haven't tried this multiple trackmaster users on the same live feed but everything else works on the app for track days and autox so I can only imagine it does too.)
Now you could just get the one app or do the full setup $100 for Trackmasters, Live View(total of $9), windshield mount($10), 10hz bluetooth GPS(qstarz bt 818 xt $70). At that price you have a budget mobile track data acquisition setup. And it saves the files in a way so all the data can be imported into Race Render which to me is a huge plus.
