bsp should be a fun class to watch on sunday. With that said does anyone want to let me ride along for a run with them? I keep having issues in the same type spots and need to be smoother.
You are welcome to ride with me, but I'm not sure you will pick up anything. I have bad habits, and very inconsistent
Chu, I can ride along or Simmonz to get you square, but you knew that already...
So by re-reading your above comment, why not try braking early. Exaggerate braking early, exaggerate looking ahead, do more than you think is necessary for both. You will be surprised how much faster you are versus late braking and having the call all out of position.
If you brake early you will be able to turn in earlier too.. everything is related, like a sequence of events, once you start the "sequence" and your late on the first input (braking) everything else will be late. Same thing on a slalom, if you are late for a gate, the following gates you will be later and later.
Slow in fast out, practice it like a religion!
I will ride with you and you can ride in my car on my 1st run. We will get you straight on some technique. Has Simmonz instructed you or have I previously? You need to have an instructor run each time out when you first start out in my opinion. Simmonz is the best instructor in my opinion, but I think I can offer a few pointers too moving you toward some proper technique.

Every run if you want me too... we can get Simmonz too... this your first time Autoxing? What class are you in and when do you run? I run 2nd heat, so if you are 1st or 2nd heat we can work it out. Third heat I plan on ingesting many beverages so I may not be any help by then...

Dan, stop lying.... your car is fine, you weren't driving fast enough to screw it up!
If by chance something is really wrong, just let me or Mark know. He is co-driving, we can just swap him out for you. There is a co-driving fee to workout, but you are fibbing now anyways....
Tim, you had Newman... He is an Evo school instructor, one of the best of the best. He usually insults me & my driving every event, but always helps me out and coaches me up prior to them. Dave N. is the goods so you had a great start. When we stage our cars we need t ospread out in grid so I can hop around and do my runs too.
Some other random tips for all the Newb Autoxers this weekend:
My rule is to walk the course 3 times, not once or twice, three times. When you walk if you walk with someone else do it the first walk. Walk yourself once or twice so you can concentrate. Talking while your walking is not concentrating. It all starts with the course walk, if you don't walk course right you already lost. Its rare people have photographic memories that can retain information while talking and walking course.
Learning to walk a course is developed talent. If you can walk behind someone who knows the deal (finish in top 5 in PAX consistently are good people to walk behind) then you can pick up things. For instance most people who know how to walk a course walk the line they would be driving. Listen to what they are talking about because they usually are pointing out the 3-4 things you need to look for on course while driving. Last point is there are usually 4-5 key elements on course that need to be paid attention too and the rest of course usually just flows naturally. If you learn to identify the key sections and have a plan of attack you will have an excellent time. It is sometimes still difficult for me to pick off everything on a course walk, so I try and walk with my boy Simmonz to extract the details I need to be successful.
Weather looks good, I think Sunday will be a good time. Warminster usually is a fast course and I am helping set course with Simmonz as a work assignment. We will make it fun, I promise! Instructing will be my 2nd work assignment, so its going to be a good/busy day.
