I only missed that first slalom on the first run. That mystery 2nd slalom was my downfall for the 2nd and 1st run. I don't even remember seeing it on the walkthrough. God I wish I could do it again and not go to work tomorrow. Thanks a lot for pushing me to autox aholes. Now I have a new addiction.
After some thinking and talking to Dan and Carson and John I think I'm done pushing power for a while and I'm going to get some RPF1's and a set of good pads and tires. The 4G64 block and crank will be stored or sold. I'm hooked. Even if I only get 1-2 more events this year it's worth it.

Nice to hear. I hope I can join you guys out on the next event only bad part is I'm not in the same class.
and like josh said. i'm hooked. all i wanted to do yesterday was drive around in a parking lot somewhere. i am not pressed for find more power or even changes my suspension or tires. i am going on marc's advice and going to learn to drive on these tractionless all seasons. next year will be a whole different setup (pretty basic to most but improved for me).
i don't think i would have had as many issues with this course as i did with the saturday's. oh well there's always next time.

one of the instructors was asking me what i had done to my car. i don't know if he was wondering why i was running in SM or he was just curious. that fox mustang (who ran very well for being a novice) was in SM and looked and sounded pretty stock.
i am sure there are a lot of people running in the wrong class. i don't at all get all the different stock classes. like why was that bone stock g8 running in F stock or something?

I agree there probably are a bunch of people running in the wrong class. Heck, some people will run in a class where there is nobody else just so they can get 1st all the time.
on the regional level it might seem silly that a simple mod will bump you from one class to another, but on a national level, where cars (and drivers) are prepped to the TEE, it makes more sense.
