Pete, have a little faith in the car.
I just emailed the event org and asked basically the same questions. I did one SCCA PDX last year and it was similar to how regular HPDE's are structured. The only difference is it was more 'learning' oriented, which I really liked. They did this one thing called a NO-BRAKE exercise that was amazing at teaching you where you can go fast and where you shouldn't. At frist I was like "this is stupid, I just wanna drive like normal" but after that session I was SO much faster around the track it wasn't event funny. I try and do that little exercise for every cool down and warmup lap now, its that good!

I think I'm going to buy a front swaybar... Marc, you down for the install? Anyone else?

I'm starting to think mine's bent and thats why it rubs/knocks on the driverside...
I forgot to tell you I was hearing a 'clunk' all three days @ NJMP. It would happen everytime I would shift weight (front, rear & side to side). Guess what, the car never broke and I made it home in 1 piece. Stop being a VAG.

I'm rocking an XSPower exhaust with a megan racing muffler! Got it on ebay for $99+shipped about 4 years ago.

FYI guys, you don't have to pay when you register for this one. So if you're on the fence you can sign-up to reserve your spot 'just in case' and if you decide to back out at the last minute you can. Although I think if you do it within 2-weeks of the event they charge you $15. Just sayin'

i really want to learn to weld- i just want to build my own exhaust
1 straight pipe and a 45 degree bend makes the whole exhaust- install resonators inline where need be!

I was watching a racing documentary in which an old racer was talking about how the old cars had practically no brakes in endurance races, so they got good at flicking the car into the turn to slow down.

I'll be driving home afterwards. Its alot easier to get approval from the CEO if I don't have to stay overnight.

You can either mail payment in or do it online. I'll be doing it online.

BTW, I was dead serious about that clunking sound. I'm curious to see if it shows up during AX stuff. It did it on both my street tires and the R6's. I'm not worried about it cause the car drove fine, just one of those things I'll have to add to the list, na mean.

Got a response already from them:

The schedule isn't set up yet, but, if we run it as we do at LRP or the Glen, at minimum 4 run sessions at 20 to 25 minutes each. This is the first time SCCA/Mo-Hud is doing a school. Attendance will be low, so we may be able to combine run groups and get more track time. We'll squeeze in as much time as we can possibly arrange. Don't worry. And, the price is right for the full track. Also- this might be one of the last times that Monticello will rent out the full track to the Clubs. So, enjoy it while you can. It will be a blast.

I'm siked!!!

Its not that bad of a drive, 2.5hrs according to google maps. Besides, I don't sleep that well the night before an HPDE anyways. Why, did you wanna split a room or something?

Yeah, maybe (no homo, sorry)... I'll have to talk to the boss first. I don't think it would be a problem though.

That exhaust looks just like the one I want to custom make. I might buy it and throw the resonators on there
