Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. I thought that everything went well. I was really happy with how the ribs/shoulder came out. This was the first time I've had all the fat in a pork butt evaporate into the meat. When we were ribbing it apart , there was absolutely no fat to be found anywhere. I guess that's what fifteen hours of slow cooking will do for you.

Jeff, thats great that you got in for Monticello. I may take you up on the cabin invite. As long as your not planning any Deliverance type activities. I'll get in touch with you for more info.

Dan, sorry about talking trash on the Corolla on FB last night. I was in a state of advanced refreshment at the time. Clearly I wasn't able to keep the disparaging Toyota comments to myself.

Marc, that was cool that you brought Luke out. He is cool little kid.

Andy, thanks again for coming through with the Sarcones rolls. It's kind of hard to go back to grocery store rolls, when you experience the goodness that is Sarcones.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with all the beer that is left over.

That's actually pretty cool. Could have done without the Geico commercial music though.

i believe it's around 720-750whp. i don't know for sure. that was his initial power on the 2.2l ams turbo before it popped for the second time. i don't know if they dialed it back a bit.

750whp! its no wonder he hit 188mph so fast. Its hard to tell from video, but I don't think my z06 moved that quickly and it was right around there HP wise.

It looked fast to me. He went from a stock internal motor with like 520hp for like 11k track miles until it broke. Then he had AMS build him the 2.2L with I forget which turbo and that one popped at practice for time attack (I forget where). It's been a couple of months and now he's back out again so who knows what he's running now.

I would think the gearing would have a lot to do with that... Did the Z0 have the oe gears?

My brakes came yesterday, now I just gotta throw them in.

11k track miles at that level is pretty impressive for a stock motor. I'm hoping my stock 111k motor doesn't pop on me at the mid 300 level I'm at now.

yes stock gearing in the Z, 5th gear was kind of a dog w/.8x, but it has a better aero than an X. Top speed i hit in that car was 159 @ pocono and it felt like it took forever with that banking.

I guess they were as good of condition as advertised??

Fronts are def brand new, rears look to be in decent shape. Hard to tell though as I don't know what they look like new. I'm sure its enough pad to get me through Monti. I don't know that I'll be able to do any more track days this year anyways, so if I have to get a new set of rears next season, no big deal.

Just throwing this out there, but is anyone interested in getting together @ Atco one week night for some fun runs? Nothing serious, just make some passes and talk trash. Tuesday or Thursday usually have the best chances for the most runs. Gates are @ 5 and lanes close @ 10pm.
