yeah, that is alot of money. Hopefully its money I'll only have to spend once. I'm hoping the top end of my motor never give me another problem.

sucks to hear about you getting the shaft (no homo)

On another note, has anyone installed ARP rod bolts one at a time without removing the end caps or replacing the bearings? For $35 from JSC I was thinking of pulling the pan in doing rod bolts as extra insurance, seeing as how I'll be able to rev past 8k now with the valvetrain upgrade. I'm worried the OEM rod bolts are now the weak link.

I read about some baffeling some vendors are doing to the oil pan to help with low oil pressure on high G sweepers. I was thinking of doing that while I installed the rod bolts. Sort of a poor mans top end/bottom end track setup.

Bushchur does what the baffled pans Marc. DB takes a brand new oem pan, and build baffles into them. It's $350 on their site...some kid Evogirl knows jsut got one.

been 'reseaching' that most of the morning. DB doesn't have any actual data showing that it helps. All he says is "if you don't know how a baffled oil pan helps then you shouldn't be running one". Typical DB response. Im skeptical mainly because AMS did a totally redesigned wet sump pan with the help of Moroso that had baffles and trap doors along with an extra 1.5qt oil capacity and they STILL had oil pressure issues. I know AMS road races way more than Buschur. So how is this modified stock pan with a baffle going to work, when something that I'm sure had way more engineering behind it didn't.

I looked into the AMS/Moroso pan a while ago for ****z and giggles, and it definitely is a nice pan. It is expensive however, at $650. I think it's an 8 qt pan, not the 6.5 quart that your mentioned though. I wonder if all 4G63 pans are the same? My neighbor has an alum baffled pan on his drag car that was $450.

I just remember reading it was an additional 1.5qts. 8 qts in total would be nice, but the price is a bit on the high side for what appears to be a bandaid. Even with a 3qt accusump they were still having oil starvation issues on long RH sweepers.

This isn't something us AX guys have to worry about, our sweepers only last a couple seconds. Its mainly for the road racers.

I don't eat fast food that often but when I do go to Mc D's I either get a big mac meal & mcchicken samish or their new Angus bacon & cheese burger meal... that ish is SOOO good. I can't eat more than that though otherwise I'll get sick. I dunno how you can put ALL that away and not feel like puking or taking a nap afterwards.

I had half of a reheated philly cheese steak wrap and a couple of onion rings for lunch and I'm still hungry. Is it bad that lunch is the highlight of my work day.
