I'm fully aware that flashlight drags are not everyone's cup of tea, but they are fun motorsports events in an area which sorely lacks motorsports. I feel like the community overall around here has really tapered off compared to a few years ago. I'm aware our cars are getting older and we, as a group, are getting older, but I still love my car and love driving the **** out of it.

Just seems like people will talk about doing things and then not do anything. Or else just sit on the sidelines and make fun of people for taking chances. It's lame and not what I was initially drawn to in this community. Don't get me wrong, there are still alot of guys that race, (i.e. Jeremy, Curt, Ian, Brian, Dan, etc.) but big meets like we used to have and big cruises that would follow are what I miss. I'm sorry if this is a bit of a useless sentimental rant than i'm sure is going to incur the wrath of the tag gods, but if you see a bit of perceived sarcasm or arrongance in some of my statements - you know why.

it's all my fault. i take one season off to get surgery and the whole community goes to hell.

Those were the days. EVO meets don't seem to be a big draw anymore. Lot's of infighting between folks has killed things off.

yes we are all getting old

I still try to get out when I can and meet up with you guys...its a shame that peoples attitudes get in the way of getting good turn outs at events....

Listen to everyone saying that 30 is old! I bet half of the people on this board are in their mid thirties at least. The price on used VIIIs is coming down though, so they are becoming more available to a younger crowd. Hopefully they don't run the cars and their reputation into the ground...

Can't wait to finally get mine back. I have been away on and off for work for the past month or so, and I have been driving rental cars for work and slow family cars to get around. Snow is right around the corner though, so its time to switch out the tires and enjoy the 4 wheel drive.

I know this is a very random question, but does anyone know where I can buy a red wife-beater and suspenders? If you can guess what i'm going as for halloween, I'll buy you a milkshake at the next cobalt sonic meet .

if the suspenders are red and you're also wearing doc martins, i would say a skinhead?

check out the department stores for the suspenders. usually places like macy's and jc penny's ave them over with the belts and the shoes.

as far as the red wife beater, i've never seen one of those around. i have seen the standard white, blue, and gray, but never red.

you could get a white one and dye it?
