NJ Owners.....?

Hey guys I am moving to New Jersey this upcoming summer and I will be attending college in New Jersey . I currently live in NYC and I am planning on getting tints. I am just curious, do you guys get stopped by the troopers a lot? Do they penalize you a lot for having tints, and if you have tints what percentage on what windows do you have? And if possible can you post pictures? Thanks a lot!

O ok, I am moving o Manilipan (that is spelt so wrong lol), its not too far away from Freehold. And I plan on going to Monmouth University, and if not there than the New Brunswick Rutgers University. I was just curious because I see a lot of people with just the back three windows tinted, or only 50% in these areas. I was planning on doing 35% front and 20% back. Thanks.....

No way, shape, or form will you get away with front tints in Manalapan, Freehold or East Windsor. I know in New Brunswick, the Amboys and North Jersey going toward Jersey City and Newark cops don't mind about the tints, but they will be all over you down in Manalapan.

I had 35% all around on my old VW, and I got stopped three times in one day before I just took them off. If you're going to tint, just tint the rear.

Yea thats what I was afraid of hearing. I have a blacked out car and obviously want a dark tint, so I think it would look horrible with just the back tinted. I also sometimes keep important stuff in my car that I don't want people to see, but I guess I will have to live without them unless I just get 50% all around. Do you think I would still get stopped for this? Thanks a lot for the feedback guys, I appreciate it! And what percentage would you recommend if any?

WINDSHIELD. Cracks or chips in your windshield could cause it to break; have it replaced. Keep your windshield clean, inside and out. Make sure your windshield wipers are always working. If they come with washers, keep antifreeze in the spray to stop icing. New Jersey laws prohibit add-on tinting on windshields and front side windows.

Yeah, cars usually look pretty bad with just the back tinted. You could try a 50% in the front, but I suspect you will still be getting pulled over too often.

I understand why you want tint, and I don't agree with the law, but if you're going to have any valuables in your car, just put them in the trunk.

Yeah, tinting is not worth it at all. Try driving by East brunswick on 18, which isn't too for from Manalapan. U are almost guaranteed a $75 ticket.
