The first was new from importdps, and the second came off a car that was getting something bigger. The first one had intermittent problems, the second just crapped out without warning.

My wally lasted something like 100k before I switched it out for the DW300. I had heard horror stories of them failing but lucky it never happened to meh.

The DW300 will require a totally new toon, tho. At least mines did. Fuel at WOT was off the charts rich. Remember that ish from last year, Petey???

My Walbro also has over 60k in it, gone back and forth with 93 and E-85 too. Do you run your tank really low often?

Decided not to hit the gym after work, so I started pulling the transfer case apart.

Here it is, pulled out of the axle. Thanks to Thai for the tip; thought it was bolted in prior to talking to him.

Diff cover off, and the entire assembly came out together.

Ring and pinion gears were in great shape.

Here is the unit opened up to gain access to the diff. I already pulled the diff out of the housing in the pic.

Good look of the RS LSD vs. stock Evo 8 open diff.

Overall, its an easy job to do at home. The hardest part was torguing the ring gear back on; must use a vice. I'm waiting on the seal kit from Jack Transmission before putting everything back inside the case.

Only part I wish I knew I could do was detail the housing. TRE offers that as part of there LSD strengthening for better oil flow.

No, not really. No rhyme or reason that I can figure out. I think that I'm just going to give the Walbro another shot. Steve (psipro) likes the Aeromotive Stealth. Maybe when I take it up there for a pump gas tune in a few months, but it seems like too much trouble otherwise.

In other news, A small brewery called Tired Hands recently opened in Ardmore, and they are making some outstanding beers. Highly recommend checking them out.

I'm currently drinking a Maine Beer Company Lunch India Pale Ale, and it is ****ing delicious.

Ben, you're pretty sure its the pump and not your injectors gunking up from E-85? Just a thought.

When the first one crapped out, it nearly broke down on Rt. 202 right before the Paoli (252) exit. Where there are no shoulders to pull off onto. I came to a stop 50 yards from the exit on Swedesford rd. Breaking down in the right lane of 202 would not have gone well. I'm almost tempted to keep a spare pump in the glove box.

The pump is getting power, and you cannot hear it clicking after turning on the ignition. That is with the back seat bottom being off.

Ben, did replacing the pump fix your problem? What lines did you not touch when switching to e85?

I'd love to check out Tired Handjobs. I miss Ryan and he should post more in here. Let's get him back in it to Nguyen it.
