PCD: Last year's version
This weekend was awesome. I had a blast. WGI is no joke.
I ran timing but my times aren't anything to brag about. I'm happy with my progression. I know I'll need a couple more events there until I know the intricacies of WGI like I do njmp. It's really great to do a new track and getting a number of point bys isnt a bad thing either. I know people say doah is a man's track but I got to say WGI is definitely a man's track.

Hells yeah I did... 19.5 was my previous best, yesterday I went out with Thai in the car and did a 17.07 and that was with traffic (totally blew turn 8). Didn't get a clean lap that time out, def had a 16. No video of that session, my lap timer was acting up, only recording time.
Seems a bunch of us had issues with Harry's this weekend, I know Marc did.
Post that ish up son, don't be scared. Its not a competition to see who can go quickest. As long as you progressed, thats what its all about. I know Tim bested his personal best by 4seconds in his last session, thats huge. Cangrats, Tim.
The Glen is absolutely a mans track. You have to have some serious gonads to hurl yourself around there quickly, much more so than say, Doah.

my throat is sore from all the talking, sleep like a baby last night after watching f1 race on dvr.
i manage a 2:16.9 on one of the run on friday open track while chasing marc around. ran 17 psi all weekend. didn't get clean laps on saturday because of 40+ instructors + 20 solo guys on track at the same time. then my turbo decided it doesn't want to spool anymore on the second session on saturday, but i stayed out and chased Grillo around. then ran one session on sunday with turbo still not spooling, but it was mad fun holding Marc up for half the session
mad props to grillo for getting 2:17.1 with a very moderately mod evo. i was in the car when he did the fast lap and he even had to dive boom in one corner. would have been 16's for sure if there was no traffic.

I wish the iphone lap timers were working better this weekend. I was running mines Friday and Saturday but it would give me some funky readings.
That NASCAR circuit was mad fun! I would love a full day on there. I'm uploading my vid from that session now. Its me following Pete & Thai.
EVO's straight dominated this weekend fa sho!

TrackDaze at Thunderbolt was great...perfect weather both days....lots of open track (only 23 in the red group)...my first time in almost two years running the chicane (I didn't have a car at the PCD event, only instructed) and I loved it. The chicane really adds a technical element that suits my driving style. Lots of low 1:40s with a top time of 39.27...got lot's of point bys from the Vette-militia that has been rolling with TD for a few years. I can't wait to get back there in Novemeburrr.

i had issues with my gps lap timer also. i've never had issues with it at any other track. my 10 hz gps receiver is pretty dead on.
