My other considerations are the OMP WRC or Champ from Stable Energies.
I've sat in the Imola, and I don't like it as much. Yes, it is easier to get in and out of dd, but when does that matter? Thai has the older Imola on the passenger side.

I never sat in the OMP WRC seat, but I do like the design. Any idea what the pricing for them are?

$760 from Stable Energies...and they will deal a little bit. Also try Safe Drives..they will cut deals too.

$850 is "mad expensive" for a nice seat? Dude, you need to get out more....and removable halo? Seems odd. Nice looking seat though...never heard of that one.

Justin, I did change my rear from when I got the car initially. It was a very short ratio, topping out at 117 in 5th!! I was on the limiter in 5th before I would cross the start/finish at lightning. After my first track weekend I found someone who wanted my rear in their car in exchange for a stock M3 ratio rear. Grillo was with meh when we did the swap, I assure you its the OEM ratio. I was all about feeling how the factory engineered the car to behave BEFORE I did any modifications. Maybe my tires are taller than yours (255/40), giving me more gear...

My car is def lighter than yours, but it still looks like you pull harder than me on the straights. I was gaining anything on the straights. Only places I was making up distance on you was in the corner, which is probably because I have less weight to carry and stiffer springs to keep it distributed... I do think that my motor is pretty tight, tho. I sent my first sample to blackstone labs and it came back with flying colors.

The line I was trying to show you in T6 wasn't working when you were in the car and I realized why... I wasn't trail-braking into the corner, thus understeering and missing the apex. Once I realized what i was doing (or wasn't doing) in the last session I started to hit that mark and the exit opened up. Same thing with T1. I start to easy off the brake more and the turn because much smoother. Next time we're there hopefully I can show you what I'm talking about, I really think that line in T6 and the Tim B. spec PRO RWD TT line in the elbow and pus will put you ahead of meh.

I still don't know how you're in 3rd thru 1 & 2. I was on the limiter of 3rd before the exit curbing of T2 everytime I tried that. Everywhere else are shift points are identical.

Can't wait for next year. Car should be more solid with all new bushings and more reliable with subframe reinforcements, metal impeller WP, z3 rad, a TOON up and better brakes. Lots of work to do over the winter.

racetech FTN. they're pretty damn comfy and not too hard to get in and out of as long as you don't have anything in your hands. Only thing is they aren't made for 'bigger' folk.

I know a guy selling a set of GT3 leather seats out of his Porsche if anyone is interested.

RT raised their prices earlier this year and thus priced themselves out of the market.

I am really intrigued by that Ergo now...damn you Thai!

the removable halo has been out for several years, but was only available in europe. they were just recently available in US this year. i think it's a nice feature if you drive your car on the street and still want head protection. i guess i haven't been looking at prices for good racing seats. i paid $350 shipped for my buddy club but there's no comparison between that and an FIA seat

i don't understand how you're understeering if you're trail-braking. trail braking should put you in oversteer, unless you're braking deep like autox.

subframe reinforcements are mad points. saying...

^ trail braking 101, learn it son.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_braking

in four wheel vehicles trail braking pertains to using the brakes past the corner entrance (as opposed to the normally taught practice of releasing the brakes before starting the turn). This practice is used for creating weight transfer towards the front tires, thus increasing their traction and reducing understeer.
