Thanks, I was just looking at some Contour's. They seem like good bang for the buck. But then why can't I strap the iphone to my head?

I also thought the Contour GPS would be cool to get the track layout on the vid, but I assume it wouldn't work under a roof anyway.

I don't have any excuses yet for the 26th as I have off. I better come up with some soon, or I may have to show up.

I was going to look into some of the new models that contour has out now. Maybe you can subsidize my new purchase by buying my old contour 1080hd!

They call it centre but I'm assuming its a rear diff upgrade not the front one.
What? No! Its for the front/transfercase.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential

Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential for Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre is suitable for Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 models. A direct replacement for the standard Mitsubishi differential, the Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential transforms your car’s performance.

Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree, and never locks.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential has many benefits over a standard open differential, including maximising traction and minimizing wheelspin, eliminating torque steer and snatching in front wheel drive cars compared to conventional LSD units, and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 centre Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential is proven in circuit and drag racing, rallying and road use, and is produced from Corus steel billets, and is CAD designed and CNC machined, then inspected to ISO 9001 standards.

you sure it's front? I wonder if this is meant for the active center diff somehow seeing that the part is for evo8 and 9

quaife shows something else for the front diff.

Pete, the pics on the Ebay add is not a center diff for a non-ACD Evo. This is what it's supposed to look like:

Left is stock, right is Quaife.

This is the Ebay pic:

I questioned the look myself, but the part number seems correct. Best thing to do James is to just email them and ask.

As far as work schedules, I finish up on the 21st at 7am, and don't go back until the 2nd.

I told James they might be using a generic pic, but who knows.

My last day at work is the 20th. I also return on the second.

I think based on the number of (little) hours you work a year you prolly make $300/hr
