Like 509evo im a sheriff as well, and I wanted the job to make a difference. I didn’t spend 6 years in the Marines to just get the job and harass people. Now I can see why u get pulled over and get tickets cause u have a ****ty attitude!

Looks like I'm not the ***. I provided my experiences and based on DOZENS of these threads in MANY forums as well as the experiences of ALL my friends and family, I evaluated the situation. You, on the other hand, said that in SPITE of all our bad experiences with police, 90% of police are still good people. When I show they are NOT, the best you can muster is to call me an ***.
Grow up. Just because YOU think something doesn't make it true. However, having read all your comments here thus far, I have a feeling you're only going to get mad at me for this and that you will NOT grow up above childish name-calling.
Next time you WANT to be right but have nothing of IMPORTANCE to say, just don't bother posting.
Now, given 90% of cops are NOT good, that DOES leave the rest that ARE good. For example, the city cops where I live. They've been polite to me and not pulled me (especially without a cause). They like my car, they like how much info I give them when something has happened, whether it happened to me or I just witnessed something.
You're not wholly wrong, but you're far from right and calling me an *** for having been picked on by STRANGERS is quite childish. I could comment on your spelling and grammar, but that would be on par with you calling me an ***.
And one last thing...if you took the job to make a difference, good for you. Now you need just to learn how to READ because I said the ones that are not bad tend to be exactly what you claim to be. Pick a fight and you prove you're in the bad 90%.
Also, ticketing for "attitude" would be laughed out of court. And notice in my stories I only got one completely invalid ticket, nulled a half hour later. The other officers were bold enough to pick on me but not to make a permanent record of their behavior totally inappropriate for an officer.

Dear whinny little baby, because he feels he is gets picked on by cops. Grow up! The likely hood for you to have gotten pulled over that many times and you have never been at fault is laughable. I highly doubt your were obey every traffic law. You break the laws your getting pulled over. So stop crying your heart out.
Haha don’t sweat it EVOFQ300. I total under stand why now we have a lot of people that get (harasses) buy law enforcement. Cause if they would lose the attitude that there all out to get them and so a little courtesy some maybe extend back to them.

I've been pulled over many times without reason. One time, after providing current insurance card AND the receipt for it (I keep both with me), he wrote me a ticket for no insurance anyways.
Another time, I was pulled over by a trooper. I asked why. He just stared at me for a minute, walked back to his car and took off in another direction (no calls on his radio either).
Another time, an angry officer pulled my brother and myself over and started yelling at us, spitting out the foulest combinations of words I've ever heard. He went on to threaten us, made like he was going to attack us, refused to give his name, then took off. I don't know what his deal was. We filed complaints against him and he got fired.
Most recently, a local sheriff's deputy stopped me after I got off a road with no other traffic. He told me I had been driving recklessly, passing people and running people off the road. I told him no such thing happened, so he told me to "shut the hell up" because I must have done it. He also threatened me, saying he'd ticket or arrest me if he ever saw me again. I filed a complaint against him. No more problems from the sheriff's department.
So yes, cops DO stop you for no reason. In fact, I have not been stopped FOR a reason yet. And yes, even WITH complaints, many of them get away without ANY consequences because they sometimes don't even bother reviewing complaints. An officer on one of the WRX boards I'm on even flat out said where he works in TN, they just throw away complaints as they arrive and don't ever check them.

Wow, I must have missed this post. So in this post alone you have been pulled over 4 times without a reason and pretty much have done nothing about it. I mean if I was pulled over without a reason I would be filing a complaint with a supervisor right away the first time. An officer must have reasonable suspicion to stop you.
If you don't know what reasonable suspicion is I'll explain it to you. RS is not probable cause. RS is what a reasonable person beleives to be suspicious. A reasonable person is aka your peers or a jury, judge. If you have a tail light out then a reasonable person would beleive it to be an infraction of the law. It goes along with PC but an officer does not have to have PC only RS. So another example is, I see you driving fast but I dont get a reading on my radar gun. I can stop you for speeding but I cannot write you a ticket for speeding. I was able to stop you for RS but I could not ticket you because of no PC.
So in other words, if an officer stops you with out RS or PC then he had no right to stop you and anything he finds is known as "fruit of the posionous tree".
I could go on and on about the legal aspect of it but I rather not. Just remember If you feel the officer stopped you for no reason then make a complaint. Because that officer needs to be taught what he can and can't do. Beleive me my supervisor gets complaints and we have a whole board that deals with them.
this is a funny post so funny. first of all cops are people they have bad days and good days though they try to control them as much as they can. One time i got a ticket because i stoped at the stop sighn befor the cop and it was my turn to go then he pulled me over because he wanted to go first. Yes i saw him going and he tried, i did not let him because he has to wait just like me ******* anyways got a ticket for ( fail to pay for attantion can u beleive this ****). Second time i was crossing the side walk in old town alexandria, VA carring a huge 21" CRT screen this cop turns his lihgts on with no sound and almost hits me
i was soooo pissed. Here In CA Santa Barbara we get pulled over me and my best frined in his STI and the bold old cop on the bike is saying that his wing, exhaust, intercoller is not stock dude what the hell we have no time for this ****. My friend got really pissed in away his like look i dunno what u are doing here but u are waisting my time and yours check and take classes for cars man this is a bone stock car would like to arrest me now. the cop looked at my friend and his like ok you can go, What a bone head. I respect cops sooo much and i try to make there job easy and i had sooo many good cops friends and so on but some of them are just bone heads with no respect and no knowledge.

It all depands on where you get pulled over too, for example if you get pulled over in Fairfax you are getting a ticket wether you like it or no, wether you did something or no. you just say okl and get the ****ing ticket. Listen to this i was pulling over with my old GTI in Fairfax to get it inspected since it got expired while i was on vecation, the gas station i went to was about 1 mile away from my house, guess what i get a ticket in the gas station parking lot and the judge makes me pay extra, i mean WTF i am getting inspected .
a NEW low for cops
We heard this here at www.clublexus.com and we love the EVO. We can't believe this waste of our time and tax dollars. Please fight this case.
I'm just letting ya'll know with the wasteful city governments Nationwide, ticketing drivers will only increase to raise funding. Hence all these senseless cameras too that don't prevent anything.

To clarify, it reads:
Description of Violation:
VIEW OBSTRUCTION REARWARD
(WHALE TAIL ON TRUNK CENTER GLASS).
Now, I agree that giving this ticket was clearly a bad judgement call by the cop. Unfortulately, we don't know the details of everything here. Perhaps he was driving too fast, or revving his car, etc. and the cop gave him ticket 1 of 2 for the exhaust (2 of 2 being for the rear spoiler). When he first stopped the driver, maybe the driver gave him a hard time and the cop decided to pick the car apart and issue citations for everything that he found wrong with it. Thinking that the wing was aftermarket, he then wrote a ticket for that. I'm not trying to step on people's toes with this, I'm just saying that everyone needs to calm down and look at this problem from the inside looking out, instead of from the outside looking in. Cops have a tough job. Many professions are demanding and come with little pay and even fewer benifits. Some cops are crooked, some abuse their power. This happens in all lines of work, though. I don't know how many times I have been spit on because I am in the military (mostly overseas, but even some hippies that claim to be Americans) and it's all because of the actions of a few that got the attention of the masses. One or two bad cops will get the entire force looked at as dirtbags. Probably one of the worst things about any of our uniformed services is the public relations. Taking them all into consideration, I think cops are doing the best out of all of them. They put up with more **** in one day than most of us will see in a lifetime, and they do it over and over and over again every day. Think about it, what if you arrested a killer / rapist and they got off as clean as could be because you made a gramatical error, or maybe you collected evidence improperly, or because you said something during the arrest that was considered by someone to be a racist/sexist comment. Could you sleep well at night?
I wouldn't try to take this case to court to make the cop look like an idiot. I would simply make my case in which I pointed out that the wing was a factory piece and the cop probably didn't know it. Say you didn't fight it at the time of issuance because the cop probably hears it a hundred times a day about aftermarket parts "honestly, officer, that exhaust is stock" and the like. Be courteous and polite and let the judge know that you feel that there is a simple misunderstanding and that this should be dealt with as an isolated incident, instead of a "the whole police force in this city is screwed up and they are always picking on us" type of attitude.
This is just my advice.
I know I went way off topic here, but I really think we all need to give our police some respect and show some appreciation for what they do for our country.
P.S.: I'm back on EvoM. I'm glad to see that some changes have been made and the childish games are a thing of the past. The admin / mods on this site really impress me.
