Tablets are love hate. I think most of us are still in touch with our laptops and desktops. I have an iPad and love using it, the only problem with it is I have to remember to use it lol.

But tablets have their disadvantages. Until they can allow me to do almost all of the other functions I can do with a laptop (download movies illegally and music) and save certain things to "folders" it would be hard for me to totally ditch a laptop.

I use my iPad mini mini all the time. Some call it an iPhone.

You complain about driving your own car to work, not gonna listen to you complaining about driving mine.
I'm not going to deny it. I was bogging the motor in the corolla this morning while "accelerating."

its free right now!
So this FREE app will take the place of my colorimeter and spectrometer? I would be tempted to try it just because, but I don't want to spend $75 for the damn HDMI Apple adapter. And I don't have Apple TV.

Some tablets now have IR capability to control the rest of your non-wifi stuff. Vizio comes to mind.

I use an iPad too for small things but it's not yet a replacement for a desktop, but it's getting there. Feb 5th they are coming out with an iPad with 128GB. But it is easier to get at the bit torrent apps and file structure on Android devices. Apple wants users that chicken type and have ADD to use their products, power users or modders need not apply. Even jail-breaking the iPad don't help. But if the Free Android OS is ported to future powerful iPads then you might have a replacement coming that'll do it all.

PCD isn't the only thread I read. Dropdown menu is nice for jumping around.

What do they plan to charge of that? The 64 gig is already $700

Probably the same then drop prices accordingly, or $100 more. I'm thinking $700
