A normally aspirated 996 911 isn't faster than an Evo. They make practically stock Evo X power.

Now if by faster, you mean overall faster, I think that's another debate.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Unless you plan on doing only straight line acceleration here on out...

Well I think I need an enjoyable daily drive to justify an enjoyable daily driver.

I find myself coasting or 1% throttle in the corolla and rolling over people. I guess that's why it's called a 'rolla.

I don't mean to ***** about my commute so much but it really is not enjoyable.

There is a beater/DD 930 911 in my future...well, technically it'll be my wife's, which kinda makes it even cooler. But, my wife works from home, we have don't have kids, and she averages 25 miles a week of driving so a 930 is not a stretch. Very close to pulling the trigger on this, just need to figure out how much work the particular example I am looking at will really need.

I don't see why having a faster DD is a ...I know plenty of people that track an E30 or Miata but driver an E92M3 or 911.

It's not just that road. It's all of them. I'm looking forward to the day when cars are fully autonomous. As long as there are track days ill be fine.

It's a for me because its impractical to buy a fast car to drive slow. Of course, there's always arguments around that convention, say people who spec races and whatnot.

haha, you bought your evo when and started doing motorsports with it how long after? but you think its impractical to buy a fast car to drive slow. OK!

and btw, chu still drive your 'fast car' slow so your point isn't valid.
