We are talking about owning 2 cars here (practical & fun), not one in which must be used for both means. I bought my car in summer of 2007, and first autox in 2009. As far as driving it slow is another argument.

I had an Integra with 240k miles on it, which got stolen 2 weeks after I moved it out of the garage to make room for the Evo. I've owned just one car since.

We also were not discussing owning/tracking multiple cars. Don't you also own also truck that you DD?

My point was simple; imo, very few people would choose to make their daily driver better than their fun car.

I don't know what you're discussing... all I know is chu said having a DD that is faster than a track car is a , to which I replied that I dd both cars and they both see track time.

have you ever tracked anything other than your EVO? what I think you don't understand is that a 'fast car' doesn't always = FUN on the track. Thats why you don't see everyone on track with 600whp cars and the ones who have them are usually not having too much fun cause their ish is breaking.

driving at the limit is a 105hp miata is more fun than driving 6-7ths in an EVO. sayin.

Having a faster fun car than DD car would be my opinion. I would hope my track car is faster than my dd car.

I didn't not compare fun vs. fast in any of my statements, nor did I mention anything about horsepower. You may be right, but I wouldn't know since I never drove anything other than my Evo on track. Fast is also not about horsepower numbers, as proven by your track times versus mine. How the car gets handled is up to the driver's ability, again is another agument. I'm sure a 105HP Miata is fun, but I'd rather not.

So if you race your track car every day, does that count as "daily driving"?

Wait! The terminology is killing me in this argument.

Fast car is not a fun car or is it interchangeable? Or is a fun car fun because it's fast? Marc then said that a fast car isn't as fun as a fun car but a fast car is sometimes fun or something.

Fast car is fun for it to be a man, but half of a fast car is not always fun, but when you add fun and fast and double them, it gives you have the excitement.

James, for your tshirt. I've been saving these for something special.

I'm on all-seasons
My tires are heat cycled
I boiled my brake fluid
I over heated my race pads
I don't have a wing
I don't have a splitter
My ACD doesn't work
My tire pressures were messed up
My suspension settings were messed up
I forgot to turn the boost up, bro
I'm only running 20.1221 psi
I have an exhaust leak
I kept missing 3rd, 4th and 5th gears
I couldn't get a clean lap with all the traffic behind me
There was debris on the racing line
I was on my cool-down/warm-up lap
I'm still feeling the car out
I wasn't racing
I'm only out there for the experience
and my new personal fav... the course is setup for 5 speed trans, not 6 speed
Tires too cold
Boost was turned down
Not used to following racing line
Didn't spike the gas tank
Mad Boost leaks
I'm hungover
I have explosive diarrhea
my tires pressure gauge was messed up
the sun was in my eyes
the wind was blowing the wrong way
too many bugs on the windshield
too much gas in the tank
forgot to drain windshield washer fluid to save weight
humidity to high for stock turbo
not enough grease in the muffler bearing
Steering wheel Off center
Steering wheel out of balance
